⁹ And Jehovah said to Moses, Pharaoh shall not listen to you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

³ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. ⁴ But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, and I will lay My hand upon Egypt, and bring My armies, My people the sons of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, so that I might show these My signs before him,

¹⁶ So then it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of God, the One showing mercy. ¹⁷ For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth." ¹⁸ Therefore He has mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whom He will, He hardens.
