¹ And Samuel died. And all the Israelites were gathered, and lamented him and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

²⁶ And they left and came to Moses and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh. And they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

²⁹ And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, all the house of Israel.

⁸ And the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. And the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

¹⁷ And his return was to Ramah, for his house was there. And he judged Israel there. And he built an altar there to Jehovah.

³ And Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned him and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away the mediums and the spirit-knowers out of the land.

³⁴ And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and fell on him and killed him. And he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.

²⁰ And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. And his son Amon reigned in his place.

⁵ Woe is me, that I live in Mesech; I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

¹⁸ All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

² And devout men buried Stephen and made a great mourning over him.
