⁴⁸ Nathanael said to Him, From where do You know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called, you being under the fig tree, I saw you.

And he said, I will not let you go unless You bless me. ²⁷ And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. ²⁸ And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with men, and have prevailed. ²⁹ And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why this that you ask about My name? And He blessed him there. ³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Penuel, because I saw God face to face, and my life is delivered.
