⁹ He has walked in My statutes and has kept My judgments to deal truly; he is righteous. Surely he shall live, declares the Lord Jehovah.

⁵ and you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man do, he shall live by them. I am Jehovah.

¹ And now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the judgments which I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in, and possess the land which Jehovah the God of your fathers is giving to you.

¹ And Moses called to all Israel and said to them, Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears today. And you shall learn them, and shall take heed to do them.

¹ And this is the commandment, the statute and the judgments which Jehovah your God commanded to teach you, to do them in the land to which you are crossing over, to possess it, ² that you might fear Jehovah your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you; you, and your son, and your sons' son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

¹² And now, Israel, what has Jehovah your God asked of you, except to fear Jehovah your God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul; ¹³ to keep the commandments of Jehovah, and His statutes which I am commanding you today, for your good.

¹ And you shall love Jehovah your God, and keep His charge, and His statutes and His judgments, and His commandments all the days.

¹³ And You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from the heavens, and gave them right judgments and true laws, good statutes and commandments. ¹⁴ And You made Your holy sabbath known to them, and You commanded commandments, statutes, and laws, to them by the hand of Your servant Moses.

⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commands of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true, they are righteous altogether. ¹⁰ They are more precious than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drops from the honeycomb. ¹¹ Also Your servant is warned by them; in keeping of them is great reward.

⁴ He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to guile, and has not sworn in deceit. ⁵ He shall lift up the blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. ⁶ This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah.

⁴⁴ And He gave to them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the labor of the peoples; ⁴⁵ so that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise Jehovah!

¹ Aleph Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah. ² Blessed are those keeping His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. ³ They also do not work evil; they walk in His way. ⁴ You have commanded to carefully keep Your precepts. ⁵ O that my ways were fixed to keep Your statutes! ⁶ Then I shall not be ashamed, when I look to all Your commands.

¹⁷ has withdrawn his hand from the poor, and has not received interest and increase. He has done My judgments, has walked in My statutes. He shall not die for the iniquity of his father. He shall surely live.

¹¹ And I gave them My statutes, and I made them know My judgments, which if a man does them, he will even live by them.

¹³ But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man does them he will even live by them. And they greatly profaned My sabbaths. Then I said, I will pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

¹⁵ if the wicked returns the pledge, he repays the thing stolen, he walks in the statutes of life, not doing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

²⁷ And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them .

²⁴ And My Servant, David, shall be King over them. And there shall be one Shepherd to all of them. And they shall walk in My judgments and keep My statutes, and do them.

⁴ For so says Jehovah to the house of Israel: Seek Me, and live.

¹⁴ Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so Jehovah the God of hosts shall be with you, as you have spoken.

²⁴ But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

⁴ Behold, the soul of him is puffed up and is not upright; but the just shall live by his faith.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

²⁷ And answering, he said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength," and with all your mind, and "your neighbor as yourself." Deut. 6:5; Lev. 19:18 ²⁸ And He said to him, You have answered rightly; do this, and you shall live. ²⁹ But desiring to justify himself, he said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him.

¹⁶ And in this I exercise myself to have always a blameless conscience toward God and men.

¹⁷ for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; even as it has been written, "But the just shall live by" "faith." Hab. 2:4

²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he studied himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot of what kind he was. ²⁵ But the one looking into the perfect law of liberty, and continuing in it, this one not having become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his doing.

¹⁸ But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith out of my works. ¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder. ²⁰ But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? ²¹ Was not our father Abraham justified by works offering up his son Isaac on the altar? Gen. 22:9 ²² You see that faith worked with his works; and out of the works the faith was made perfected. ²³ And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, "And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;" and he was called, Friend of God. Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8 ²⁴ You see, then, that a man is justified out of works, and not out of faith only. ²⁵ But in the same way Rahab the harlot was also justified out of works, having received the messengers, and sending them out by another way. ²⁶ For as the body is dead apart from the spirit, so also faith is dead apart from works.

²⁹ If you know that He is righteous, know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

⁷ Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous.
