1 Timothy 2:1 Cross References - LITV

¹ First of all then, I exhort that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men,

²³ And Abraham drew near and said Is it so? Will You cut off the righteous with the wicked? ²⁴ Perhaps there are fifty righteous within the city; is it so You will cut off and will not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous ones that are within it? ²⁵ Far be it from You to act in this way, to put to death the righteous with the wicked. Far be it from You. The Judge of all the earth, shall He not do right? ²⁶ And Jehovah said, If I find fifty righteous within the city, in Sodom, then I will spare all the place because of them. ²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Behold, I pray, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, and I am dust and ash. ²⁸ Perhaps there will be lacking five from the fifty righteous, will You destroy all the city for the five? And He said, If I find forty five there, I will not destroy. ²⁹ And he continued still to speak to Him and said, Perhaps forty will be found there. And He said I will not do it because of the forty. ³⁰ And he said, Please do not my Lord be angry, that I may speak; perhaps thirty will be found there. And He said, I will not do it if I find thirty there. ³¹ And he said, Behold, I pray, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord; perhaps twenty will be found there. And He said I will not destroy because of the twenty. ³² And he said, I pray, let not my Lord be angry that I may speak only this time; perhaps ten will be found there. And He said, I will not destroy because of the ten.

⁴¹ And also, to the alien who is not of Your people Israel, and has come from a land afar off for Your name's sake, ⁴² (for they shall hear of Your great name, and of Your strong hand, and of Your stretched out arm, and he shall have come in and prayed toward this house,) ⁴³ You shall hear in Heaven, Your dwellingplace, and shall do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have built.

¹ To the chief musician, for stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song. May God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah. ² That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. ³ Let the peoples thank You, O God; let all the peoples thank You. ⁴ Oh let the peoples be glad and sing for joy; for You shall judge the peoples uprightly and govern the peoples on earth. Selah.

¹⁹ And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!

⁹ So, then, you should pray this way: Our Father who is in Heaven, let be sanctified Your name. ¹⁰ Let Your kingdom come; let Your will be done, as it is in Heaven, also on the earth.

³⁰ Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of in all the world.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God that you were slaves of sin, but you obeyed from the heart the form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

³ For I delivered to you in the first place what I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,

⁶ for us to call on Titus, that even as he began before, so also he might complete this grace to you also.

¹³ Therefore, I ask you not to faint at my troubles on your behalf, which is your glory.

²⁰ giving thanks at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, even to God the Father,

³ I thank my God on all the remembrance of you,

¹² And may the Lord make you to increase and to abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we also toward you,

³ Brothers, we are bound to give thanks to God always concerning you, even as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you multiplies toward one another,

⁴ who desires all men to be delivered and to come to a full knowledge of truth.

⁵ But honor the one being really a widow, even having been left alone, who has set her hope on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

²⁴ But a slave of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,

¹¹ For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,

² to speak evil of no one, not quarrelsome, but forbearing, having displayed all meekness to all men.

¹¹ But we desire each of you to show the same eagerness, to the full assurance of the hope to the end;

¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one has great strength, having been made effective.
