¹⁹ because what can be known about God is evident among* them, for God made it clear to them.

¹ For the music director. A psalm of David.*
The heavens are telling the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands. ² _⌊Every day_⌋* they pour forth speech, and _⌊every night_⌋* they tell knowledge. ³ There is no speech and there are no words; their sound is inaudible. ⁴ Yet in all the world their line* goes out, and their words to the end of the world. In them* he has pitched a tent for the sun, ⁵ and it is like a bridegroom who comes out of his bridal chamber. It is glad like a strong man to run its course. ⁶ Its rising is from one* end of the heavens and its circuit to the other end* of them; and nothing is hidden from its heat.

²⁶ Lift your eyes up on high, and see! Who created these? The one who brings out their host by number. He calls all them by name. Because he is great of power and mighty of power, no man is missing.

¹⁰ But Yahweh is the true God, he is the living God, and _⌊an everlasting king_⌋.* Because of his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his anger. ¹¹ "_⌊Thus_⌋* you shall say to them,
'Gods who did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens. ¹² He is the maker of the earth by his power, who created the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding he stretched out heaven. ¹³ _⌊When he utters his voice_⌋* there is a noise of water in the heavens, and he causes the mist to rise from the ends* of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he causes the wind to go out from his storehouses.

⁹ The true light, who gives light to every person, was coming into the world.

¹⁶ who in generations that are past permitted all the nations* to go their own ways. ¹⁷ And yet he did not leave himself without witness by* doing good, giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying you* with food and your hearts with gladness."

²³ For as I* was passing through and observing carefully your objects of worship, I even found an altar on which was inscribed, 'To an unknown God.' Therefore what you worship without knowing it,* this I proclaim to you— ²⁴ the God who made the world and all the things in it. This one, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, ²⁵ nor is he served by human hands as if he* needed anything, because* he himself gives to everyone life and breath and everything. ²⁶ And he made from one man every nation of humanity to live on all the face of the earth, determining their fixed times and the fixed boundaries of their habitation, ²⁷ to search for God, if perhaps indeed they might feel around for him and find him.* And indeed he is not far away from each one of us, ²⁸ for in him we live and move and exist,* as even some of _⌊your own_⌋* poets have said: 'For we also are _⌊his_⌋* offspring.'* ²⁹ Therefore, because we* are offspring of God, we ought not to think the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by human skill and thought. ³⁰ Therefore although* God has overlooked the times of ignorance, he now commands all people everywhere to repent,

²⁰ For from the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, both his eternal power and deity, are discerned clearly, being understood in the things created, so that they are without excuse.
