⁶ 'I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.

Therefore Yahweh blessed the seventh day and consecrated it. ¹² "Honor your father and your mother, so that your days can be long on the land that Yahweh your God is giving you. ¹³ "You shall not murder. ¹⁴ "You shall not commit adultery. ¹⁵ "You shall not steal. ¹⁶ "You shall not testify against your neighbor with a false witness. ¹⁷ "You shall not covet the house of your neighbor; you will not covet the wife of your neighbor or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that is your neighbor's."

⁴ But you, the ones holding fast to Yahweh your God, are all alive _⌊today_⌋.*

⁵ He made it a statute* in Joseph when he went out against the land of Egypt, where I heard a language I did not know.* ⁶ "I removed his shoulder from a burden. His hands were freed from the basket. ⁷ In this* trouble you called, and I rescued you. Within the secret place of thunder I answered you; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah ⁸ Hear, O my people, and I will admonish you; O Israel, if you would but listen to me. ⁹ There shall be no strange god among you, and you shall not bow down to a foreign god. ¹⁰ I am Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.
