¹ Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

³⁹ The one lamb you shall offer in the morning; and the other lamb you shall offer in the evening:

⁴ The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at evening;

³⁶ And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.

¹⁷ Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

¹⁰ Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.

²¹ Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.

¹ And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart,

³⁷ And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very distressed.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

⁸ And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.

⁴⁴ And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵ And the sun was darkened, and the curtain of the temple was torn in the middle. ⁴⁶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.

⁵³ And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

²³ Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. ²⁴ Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spoke. ²⁵ He then lying on Jesus' breast said unto him, Lord, who is it?

² Then she ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him. ³ Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulcher. ⁴ So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulcher. ⁵ And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there; yet went he not in. ⁶ Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulcher, and saw the linen cloths lying, ⁷ And the cloth, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. ⁸ Then went in also that other disciple, who came first to the sepulcher, and he saw, and believed. ⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

⁷ Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girded his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

¹⁸ Verily, verily, I say unto you, When you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you would: but when you shall be old, you shall stretch forth your hands, and another shall dress you, and carry you where you would not. ¹⁹ This spoke he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he said unto him, Follow me. ²⁰ Then Peter, turning about, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrays you? ²¹ Peter seeing him said to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? ²² Jesus said unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? you follow me.

⁴⁶ And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their food with gladness and sincerity of heart,

¹³ Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ordinary men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

²⁵ Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

³ He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

⁹ And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship; that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision.
