² And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descending from heaven, came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

⁵¹ And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks were rent, ⁵² and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised, ⁵³ and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many.

³ And they were saying among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the tomb? ⁴ and looking up, they see that the stone is rolled back; for it was exceeding great. ⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, arrayed in a white robe, and they were amazed.

² And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. ³ And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it came to pass, while they were perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel: ⁵ and as they were affrighted and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

¹ Now on the first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and seeth the stone taken away from the tomb.

¹² and she beholdeth two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. ¹³ And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

²⁶ and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison-house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness, God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

¹² To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven, which things angel desire to look into.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.
