¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

⁸ He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, He lifteth up the needy from the dung-hill, to make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory; for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and He hath set the world upon them.

²² The LORD made me as the beginning of His way, the first of His works of old. ²³ I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

¹¹ I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no saviour. ¹² I have declared, and I have saved, and I have announced, and there was no strange god among you; therefore ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and I am God. ¹³ Yea, since the day was I am He, and there is none that can deliver out of My hand; I will work, and who can reverse it?

⁶ Thus saith the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the LORD of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last, and beside Me there is no God.

² (5:1) But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from ancient days.
