²⁴ And they, when they heard it, lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, O Master, thou art the God that didst make the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:

¹¹ for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said: 'O LORD, the God of Israel, that sittest upon the cherubim, Thou art the God, even Thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; Thou hast made heaven and earth.

¹⁹ Now therefore, O LORD our God, save Thou us, I beseech Thee, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that Thou art the LORD God, even Thou only.'

⁶ Thou art the LORD, even Thou alone; Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are thereon, the seas and all that is in them, and Thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth Thee.

⁵ Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁶ Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is; who keepeth truth for ever;

¹² I, even I, am He that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;

¹⁰ But the LORD God is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King; at His wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide His indignation. ¹¹ Thus shall ye say unto them: 'The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.' ¹² He that hath made the earth by His power, that hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His understanding;

¹³ Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD; for He hath delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evil-doers.

¹⁷ 'Ah Lord GOD! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and by Thy outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for Thee;

¹¹ But they were filled with madness, and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. ¹² And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.

²⁵ But about midnight Paul and Silas praying, were singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them,

⁸ For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which befell us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, insomuch that we despaired even of life: ⁹ yea, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead: ¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us, ¹¹ ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication, that, for the gift bestowed upon you by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might me fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ¹⁸ The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
