1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper country came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples:

Acts 18:1

Acts 18:19-21

19 And he came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. 20 And when they asked him to abide a longer time with them, he consented not, 21 but took his leave of them, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem, but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he set sail from Ephesus.

Acts 18:23-28

23 And having spent some time there, he departed, and went through the Galatian region, and Phrygian, in order, establishing all the disciples. 24 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by race, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus, and he was mighty in the scriptures. 25 This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and being fervent in spirit, he spake and taught accurately the things concerning the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John: 26 and he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more accurately. 27 And when he was minded to pass over into Achaia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him; and when he was come, he helped them much that had believed through grace, 28 for he powerfully confuted the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:12

12 Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:4-7

4 For when one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? 5 What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed, and each as the Lord gave to him. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase.

1 Corinthians 16:12

12 But as touching Apollos the brother, I besought him much to come unto you with the brethren; and it was not all his will to come now, but he will come when he shall have opportunity.
