⁸ It is the voyce of my welbeloued: beholde, hee commeth leaping by the mountaines, and skipping by the hilles.

¹⁷ Vntil the day breake, and the shadowes flee away: returne, my welbeloued, and be like a roe, or a yong hart vpon the mountaines of Bether.

² I sleepe, but mine heart waketh, it is the voyce of my welbeloued that knocketh, saying, Open vnto mee, my sister, my loue, my doue, my vndefiled: for mine head is full of dewe, and my lockes with the droppes of the night.

⁶ Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert.

³ A voyce cryeth in the wildernesse, Prepare ye the way of the Lord: make streight in the desert a path for our God. ⁴ Euery valley shall be exalted, and euery mountaine and hill shall be made lowe: and the crooked shalbe streight, and the rough places plaine.

²³ Reioyce, ye heauens: for the Lord hath done it: shoute, ye lower partes of the earth: brast foorth into prayses, ye mountaines, O forest and euery tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Iaakob and will be glorified in Israel.

¹¹ And I will make all my mountaines, as a way, and my paths shalbe exalted. ¹² Beholde, these shall come from farre: and loe, these from the North and from the West, and these from the land of Sinim. ¹³ Reioyce, O heauens: and bee ioyfull, O earth: brast foorth into praise, O mountaines: for God hath comforted his people, and will haue mercie vpon his afflicted.

⁷ How beautifull vpon the mountaines are the feete of him, that declareth and publisheth peace? that declareth good tidings, and publisheth saluation, saying vnto Zion, Thy God reigneth?

¹² Therefore ye shall go out with ioy, and be led forth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake foorth before you into ioye, and all the trees of the fielde shall clap their handes. ¹³ For thornes there shall grow firre trees: for nettles shall growe the myrrhe tree, and it shalbe to the Lord for a name, and for an euerlasting signe that shall not be taken away.

²⁷ For diddest not thou deride Israel, as though he had bene found among theeues? for when thou speakest of him, thou art moued.

⁴ As it is written in the booke of the sayings of Esaias the Prophet, which saith, The voyce of him that crieth in the wildernes is, Prepare ye the way of the Lord: make his paths straight. ⁵ Euery valley shalbe filled, and euery mountaine and hill shall be brought lowe, and crooked things shalbe made straight, and the rough wayes shalbe made smoothe. ⁶ And all flesh shall see the saluation of God.

²³ Reioyce ye in that day, and be glad: for beholde, your reward is great in heauen: for after this maner their fathers did to the Prophets.

²⁹ He that hath the bride, is the bridegrome: but the friend of the bridegrome which standeth and heareth him, reioyceth greatly, because of the bridegromes voyce. This my ioy therefore is fulfilled.

⁴ And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce. ⁵ And they will not follow a stranger, but they flee from him: for they know not the voyce of strangers.

²⁷ My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me,

⁸ And he leaped vp, stoode, and walked, and entred with them into the Temple, walking and leaping, and praysing God.

¹⁰ Said with a loude voyce, Stand vpright on thy feete. And he leaped vp, and walked.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the doore, and knocke. If any man heare my voice and open ye doore, I wil come in vnto him, and will suppe with him, and he with me.
