¹⁴ I know, and am perswaded through the Lord Iesus, that there is nothing vncleane of it selfe: but vnto him that iudgeth any thing to be vncleane, to him it is vncleane.

¹⁴ But Peter sayd, Not so, Lord: for I haue neuer eaten any thing that is polluted, or vncleane. ¹⁵ And the voyce spake vnto him againe the second time, The things that God hath purified, pollute thou not.

²⁸ And he sayd vnto them, Ye know that it is an vnlawfull thing for a man that is a Iewe, to company, or come vnto one of another nation: but God hath shewed me, that I should not call any man polluted, or vncleane.

⁸ And I said, God forbid, Lord: for nothing polluted or vncleane hath at any time entred into my mouth. ⁹ But the voyce answered me the seconde time from heauen, The things that God hath purified, pollute thou not.

² One beleeueth that he may eate of all things: and another, which is weake, eateth herbes.

²⁰ Destroy not the worke of God for meates sake: all things in deede are pure: but it is euill for the man which eateth with offence.

²³ For he that doubteth, is condemned if he eate, because he eateth not of faith: and whatsoeuer is not of faith, is sinne.

⁷ But euery man hath not that knowledge: for many hauing conscience of the idole, vntill this houre, eate as a thing sacrificed vnto the idole, and so their conscience being weake, is defiled.

¹⁰ For if any man see thee which hast knowledge, sit at table in the idoles temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weake, be boldened to eate those things which are sacrificed to idoles?

²⁵ Whatsoeuer is solde in the shambles, eate ye, and aske no question for conscience sake.

⁴ For euery creature of God is good, and nothing ought to be refused, if it be receiued with thankesgiuing.

¹⁵ Vnto the pure are all things pure, but vnto them that are defiled, and vnbeleeuing, is nothing pure, but euen their mindes and consciences are defiled.
