²⁰ Hath the throne of iniquitie fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Lawe?

¹² And Saul said, Heare now thou sonne of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

³² And Ieroboam made a feast the fifteenth day of the eight moneth, like vnto the feast that is in Iudah, and offred on the altar. So did he in Beth-el and offered vnto the calues that he had made: and he placed in Beth-el the Priestes of the hie places, which he had made.

¹⁴ And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen nor in earth, which keepest couenant, and mercie vnto thy seruants, that walke before thee with all their heart. ¹⁵ Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as appeareth this day. ¹⁶ Therefore now Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight, that shall sit vpon the throne of Israel: so that thy sonnes take heede to their wayes, to walke in my Lawe, as thou hast walked before me.

⁶ Now he thought it too litle to lay hands onely on Mordecai: and because they had shewed him the people of Mordecai, Haman sought to destroy all the Iewes, that were throughout the whole kingdome of Ahashuerosh, euen the people of Mordecai. ⁷ In the first moneth (that is the moneth Nisan) in the twelft yere of King Ahashuerosh, they cast Pur (that is a lot) before Haman, from day to day, and from moneth to moneth, vnto the twelft moneth, that is the moneth Adar. ⁸ Then Haman said vnto King Ahashuerosh, There is a people scattered, and dispersed among the people in all the prouinces of thy kingdome, and their lawes are diuers from all people, and they doe not obserue the Kings lawes: therefore it is not the Kings profite to suffer them. ⁹ If it please the King, let it be written that they may he destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of siluer by the handes of them that haue the charge of this businesse to bring it into the Kings treasurie. ¹⁰ Then the King tooke his ring from his hand and gaue it vnto Haman the sonne of Hammedatha the Agagite the Iewes aduersarie. ¹¹ And the King sayde vnto Haman, Let the siluer be thine, and the people to doe with them as it pleaseth thee. ¹² Then were the Kings scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first moneth, and there was written (according to all that Haman commanded) vnto the Kings officers, and to the captaines that were ouer euery prouince, and to the rulers of euery people, and to euery prouince, according to the writing thereof, and to euery people according to their language: in the name of King Ahashuerosh was it written, and sealed with the Kings ring.

¹⁶ And moreouer I haue seene vnder the sunne the place of iudgement, where was wickednesse, and the place of iustice where was iniquitie.

⁸ And the abundance of the earth is ouer all: the King also consisteth by the fielde that is tilled.

¹¹ What haue I to doe with the multitude of your sacrifices, sayth the Lord? I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and of the fat of fed beasts: and I desire not the blood of bullocks, nor of lambs, nor of goates. ¹² When ye come to appeare before me, who required this of your hands to tread in my courts? ¹³ Bring no more oblations, in vaine: incense is an abomination vnto me: I can not suffer your newe moones, nor Sabbaths, nor solemne dayes (it is iniquitie) nor solemne assemblies. ¹⁴ My soule hateth your newe moones and your appointed feastes: they are a burden vnto me: I am weary to beare them. ¹⁵ And when you shall stretch out your hands, I wil hide mine eyes from you: and though ye make many prayers, I wil not heare: for your hands are full of blood. ¹⁶ Wash you, make you cleane: take away the euill of your workes from before mine eyes: cease to doe euill. ¹⁷ Learne to doe well: seeke iudgement, relieue the oppressed: iudge the fatherlesse and defend the widowe. ¹⁸ Come nowe, and let vs reason together, sayth the Lord: though your sinnes were as crimsin, they shalbe made white as snowe: though they were red like skarlet, they shalbe as wooll. ¹⁹ If ye consent and obey, ye shall eate the good things of the land. ²⁰ But if ye refuse and be rebellious, ye shalbe deuoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

¹ Woe vnto them that decree wicked decrees, and write grieuous things,

⁴ Trust not in lying woordes, saying, The Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord: this is the Temple of the Lord. ⁵ For if you amende and redresse your waies and your woorkes: if you execute iudgement betweene a man and his neighbour, ⁶ And oppresse not the stranger, the fatherlesse and the widow and shed no innocent blood in this place, neither walke after other gods to your destruction, ⁷ Then will I let you dwell in this place in the lande that I gaue vnto your fathers, for euer and euer. ⁸ Beholde, you trust in lying woordes, that can not profite. ⁹ Will you steale, murder, and commit adulterie, and sweare falsely and burne incense vnto Baal, and walke after other gods whome yee knowe not? ¹⁰ And come and stande before mee in this House, whereupon my Name is called, and saye, We are deliuered, though we haue done all these abominations? ¹¹ Is this House become a denne of theeues, whereupon my Name is called before your eyes? Beholde, euen I see it, sayeth the Lord.

⁴ Then an herald cried aloude, Be it knowen to you, O people, nations, and languages, ⁵ That when ye heare the sound of the cornet, trumpet, harpe, sackebut, psalterie, dulcimer, and all instruments of musike, ye fall downe and worship the golden image, that Nebuchad-nezzar the King hath set vp, ⁶ And whosoeuer falleth not downe and worshippeth, shall the same houre bee cast into the middes of an hote fierie fornace. ⁷ Therefore assoone as all the people heard the sound of the cornet, trumpet, harpe, sackebut, psalterie, and all instruments of musike, all the people, nations, and languages fell downe, and worshipped the golden image, that Nebuchad-nezzar the King had set vp.

⁷ All the rulers of thy kingdome, the officers and gouernours, the counsellers, and dukes haue consulted together to make a decree for the King and to establish a statute, that whosoeuer shall aske a petition of any god or man for thirtie dayes saue of thee, O King, he shalbe cast into the denne of lyons. ⁸ Nowe, O King, confirme the decree, and seale the writing, that it be not changed according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. ⁹ Wherefore King Darius sealed the writing and the decree.

³ Ye that put farre away the euill day, and approch to the seate of iniquitie?

¹⁶ For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the maner of the house of Ahab, and ye walke in their counsels, that I should make thee waste, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall beare the reproche of my people.

²² These wordes spake his parents, because they feared the Iewes: for the Iewes had ordeined already, that if any man did confesse that he was Christ, he should be excommunicate out of the Synagogue.

⁵⁷ Now both the high Priestes and the Pharises had giuen a commandement, that if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.

²⁸ Then led they Iesus from Caiaphas into the common hall. Nowe it was morning, and they themselues went not into the common hall, least they should be defiled, but that they might eate the Passeouer.

⁵ This then is the message which wee haue heard of him, and declare vnto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkenes. ⁶ If wee say that wee haue fellowship with him, and walke in darkenesse, we lie, and doe not truely:

¹⁵ And it was permitted to him to giue a spirit vnto the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast should speake, and should cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast, should be killed. ¹⁶ And he made all, both small and great, rich and poore, free and bond, to receiue a marke in their right hand or in their foreheads, ¹⁷ And that no man might buy or sell, saue hee that had the marke, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
