¹⁹ How suddenly are they destroyed, perished and horribly consumed,

²¹ Separate your selues from among this Cogregation, that I may consume them at once.

¹² And the children of Israel spake vnto Moses, saying, Behold, we are dead, we perish, we are all lost: ¹³ Whosoeuer commeth neere, or approcheth to the Tabernacle of the Lord, shall dye: shall we be consumed and dye?

²⁰ Then Saul fell streight way all along on the earth, and was sore afraide because of the wordes of Samuel, so that there was no strength in him: for he had eaten no bread all the day nor all the night.

²¹ A sounde of feare is in his eares, and in his prosperitie the destroyer shall come vpon him.

¹¹ Fearefulnesse shall make him afrayde on euery side, and shall driue him to his feete.

²³ He shall be about to fill his belly, but God shall sende vpon him his fierce wrath, and shall cause to rayne vpon him, euen vpon his meate. ²⁴ He shall flee from the yron weapons, and the bow of steele shall strike him through. ²⁵ The arrowe is drawen out, and commeth forth of the body, and shineth of his gall, so feare commeth vpon him.

⁹ As raw flesh before your pots feele the fire of thornes: so let him cary them away as with a whirlewinde in his wrath.

¹ The wicked flee when none pursueth: but the righteous are bolde as a lyon.

³ Therefore are my loynes filled with sorow: sorowes haue taken me as the sorowes of a woman that trauayleth: I was bowed downe when I heard it, and I was amased when I sawe it. ⁴ Mine heart failed: fearefulnesse troubled me: the night of my pleasures hath he turned into feare vnto me.

¹³ Therefore this iniquitie shalbe vnto you as a breach that falleth, or a swelling in an hie wall, whose breaking commeth suddenly in a moment.

¹¹ Therefore shall euill come vpon thee, and thou shalt not knowe the morning thereof: destruction shall fal vpon thee, which thou shalt not be able to put away: destruction shall come vpon thee suddenly, or thou beware.

⁶ Then the Kings countenance was changed, and his thoughtes troubled him, so that the ioynts of his loynes were loosed, and his knees smote one against the other.

²³ Him, I say, being deliuered by the determinate counsell, and foreknowledge of God, after you had taken, with wicked handes you haue crucified and slaine.

³ For when they shall say, Peace, and safetie, then shall come vpon them sudden destruction, as the trauaile vpon a woman with childe, and they shall not escape,

¹⁰ And shall stand a farre off for feare of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great citie Babylon, that mightie citie: for in one houre is thy iudgement come.
