¹² For innumerable troubles haue compassed mee: my sinnes haue taken such holde vpon me, that I am not able to looke vp: yea, they are moe in nomber then the heares of mine head: therefore mine heart hath failed me.

²⁸ Then he sayde vnto his brethren, My money is restored: for loe, it is euen in my sacke. And their heart fayled them, and they were astonished, and sayde one to another, What is this, that God hath done vnto vs?

¹¹ Be not farre from me, because trouble is neere: for there is none to helpe me. ¹² Many yong bulles haue compassed me: mightie bulles of Bashan haue closed me about. ¹³ They gape vpon me with their mouthes, as a ramping and roaring lyon. ¹⁴ I am like water powred out, and all my bones are out of ioynt: mine heart is like waxe: it is molten in the middes of my bowels. ¹⁵ My strength is dryed vp like a potsheard, and my tongue cleaueth to my iawes, and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. ¹⁶ For dogges haue compassed me, and the assemblie of the wicked haue inclosed me: they perced mine hands and my feete. ¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: yet they beholde, and looke vpon me. ¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lottes vpon my vesture. ¹⁹ But be thou not farre off, O Lord, my strength: hasten to helpe me.

⁴ For mine iniquities are gone ouer mine head, and as a weightie burden they are too heauie for me.

⁴ They that hate mee without a cause, are moe then the heares of mine heade: they that would destroy mee, and are mine enemies falsly, are mightie, so that I restored that which I tooke not.

²⁶ My flesh fayleth and mine heart also: but God is the strength of mine heart, and my portion for euer.

³ When the snares of death copassed me, and the griefes of the graue caught me: when I founde trouble and sorowe.

⁶ All we like sheepe haue gone astraye: wee haue turned euery one to his owne way, and the Lord hath layed vpon him the iniquitie of vs all.

¹³ But the Publican standing a farre off, woulde not lift vp so much as his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saying, O God, be mercifull to me a sinner. ¹⁴ I tell you, this man departed to his house iustified, rather then the other: for euery man that exalteth himselfe, shall be brought lowe, and he that humbleth himselfe, shalbe exalted.

²⁶ And mens hearts shall faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.

¹⁵ For we haue not an hie Priest, which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all things tempted in like sort, yet without sinne.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once suffered for sinnes, the iust for the vniust, that he might bring vs to God, and was put to death concerning the flesh, but was quickened by the spirit.
