³ Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly.

² For the Lord appeared vnto him, and sayde, Goe not downe into Egypt, but abide in the land which I shall shewe vnto thee.

²⁰ By louing the Lord thy God, by obeying his voyce, and by cleauing vnto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy dayes: that thou mayest dwell in the lande which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue them.

¹⁹ Now therefore, I beseech thee, let my lord the King heare the wordes of his seruant. If the Lord haue stirred thee vp against me, let him smell the sauour of a sacrifice: but if the children of men haue done it, cursed be they before the Lord: for they haue cast me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the Lord, saying, Goe, serue other gods.

⁵ Offer the sacrifices of righteousnes, and trust in the Lord.

¹ A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

¹⁹ To deliuer their soules from death, and to preserue them in famine.

⁹ Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him. ¹⁰ The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.

⁸ Trust in him alway, ye people: powre out your hearts before him, for God is our hope. Selah.

¹⁶ Wash you, make you cleane: take away the euill of your workes from before mine eyes: cease to doe euill. ¹⁷ Learne to doe well: seeke iudgement, relieue the oppressed: iudge the fatherlesse and defend the widowe. ¹⁸ Come nowe, and let vs reason together, sayth the Lord: though your sinnes were as crimsin, they shalbe made white as snowe: though they were red like skarlet, they shalbe as wooll. ¹⁹ If ye consent and obey, ye shall eate the good things of the land.

¹¹ He shall feede his flocke like a shepheard: he shall gather the lambes with his arme, and cary them in his bosome, and shall guide them with young.

¹⁰ Who is among you that feareth the Lord? let him heare the voyce of his seruant: hee that walketh in darkenesse, and hath no light, let him trust in the Name of the Lord, and staye vpon his God.

⁷ Blessed be the man, that trusteth in ye Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. ⁸ For he shall be as a tree that is planted by the water, which spreadeth out her rootes by the riuer, and shall not feele when the heate commeth, but her leafe shall be greene, and shall not care for the yeere of drought, neyther shall cease from yeelding fruit.

³¹ Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eate? or what shall we drinke? or where with shall we be clothed? ³² (For after all these things seeke the Gentiles) for your heauenly Father knoweth, that ye haue neede of all these things. ³³ But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shall be ministred vnto you.

³⁵ And he saide vnto them, When I sent you without bagge, and scrip, and shooes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

⁵⁷ But thankes be vnto God, which hath giuen vs victorie through our Lord Iesus Christ. ⁵⁸ Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

¹⁰ For God is not vnrighteous, that hee should forget your worke, and labour of loue, which ye shewed toward his Name, in that ye haue ministred vnto the Saints, and yet minister. ¹¹ And we desire that euery one of you shew the same diligence, to the full assurance of hope vnto the ende, ¹² That ye be not slouthfull, but followers of them, which through faith and patience, inherite the promises.

¹³ All these died in faith, and receiued not the promises, but sawe them a farre off, and beleeued them, and receiued them thankefully, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. ¹⁴ For they that say such things, declare plainely, that they seeke a countrey. ¹⁵ And if they had bene mindfull of that countrey, from whence they came out, they had leasure to haue returned. ¹⁶ But nowe they desire a better, that is an heauenly: wherefore God is not ashamed of them to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a citie.
