⁷ The Lawe of the Lord is perfite, conuerting the soule: the testimonie of the Lord is sure, and giueth wisedome vnto the simple.

⁶ And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart. ⁷ And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp: ⁸ And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes. ⁹ Also thou shalt write them vpon ye postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates.

¹⁸ And when he shall sit vpon the throne of his kingdo, then shall he write him this Law repeted in a booke, by the Priests of the Leuites. ¹⁹ And it shall be with him, and he shall reade therein all daies of his life, that he may learne to feare the Lord his God, and to keepe all ye words of this Lawe, and these ordinances for to doe them: ²⁰ That his heart be not lifted vp aboue his brethren, and that he turne not from the commandement, to the right hand or to the left, but that he may prolong his daies in his kingdom, he, and his sonnes in the middes of Israel.

⁴ Perfect is the worke of the mighty God: for all his wayes are iudgement. God is true, and without wickednesse: iust, and righteous is he.

⁸ Let not this booke of the Law depart out of thy mouth, but meditate therin day and night, that thou mayest obserue and doe according to all that is written therein: for then shalt thou make thy way prosperous, and then shalt thou haue good successe.

⁵ For so shall not mine house be with God: for he hath made with me an euerlasting couenant, perfite in all pointes, and sure: therefore all mine health and whole desire is, that he will not make it growe so.

¹² Neyther haue I departed from the commandement of his lippes, and I haue esteemed the words of his mouth more then mine appointed foode.

³⁰ The way of God is vncorrupt: the worde of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.

³ He restoreth my soule, and leadeth me in the paths of righteousnesse for his Names sake.

¹ A Psalme to give instruction committed to Asaph. Heare my doctrine, O my people: incline your eares vnto the wordes of my mouth. ² I will open my mouth in a parable: I will declare high sentences of olde. ³ Which we haue heard and knowen, and our fathers haue tolde vs. ⁴ Wee will not hide them from their children but to the generation to come we wil shewe the praises of the Lord his power also, and his wonderful woorkes that he hath done: ⁵ How he established a testimonie in Iaakob, and ordeined a Law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they shoulde teache their children: ⁶ That the posteritie might knowe it, and the children, which should be borne, should stand vp, and declare it to their children: ⁷ That they might set their hope on God, and not forget the workes of God but keepe his commandements:

⁵ Thy testimonies are very sure: holinesse becommeth thine House, O Lord, for euer.

⁷ The workes of his handes are trueth and iudgement: all his statutes are true.

⁹ BETH. Wherewith shall a yong man redresse his waie? in taking heede thereto according to thy woorde.

¹⁴ I haue had as great delight in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.

²⁴ Also thy testimonies are my delite, and my counsellers.

⁷² The Lawe of thy mouth is better vnto me, then thousands of golde and siluer.

⁹⁶ I haue seene an ende of all perfection: but thy commandement is exceeding large. ⁹⁷ MEM. Oh howe loue I thy Lawe! it is my meditation continually. ⁹⁸ By thy commandements thou hast made mee wiser then mine enemies: for they are euer with mee. ⁹⁹ I haue had more vnderstading then all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I vnderstoode more then the ancient, because I kept thy precepts.

¹⁰⁵ NUN. Thy worde is a lanterne vnto my feete, and a light vnto my path.

¹¹¹ Thy testimonies haue I taken as an heritage for euer: for they are the ioy of mine heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore loue I thy commandements aboue golde, yea, aboue most fine golde. ¹²⁸ Therefore I esteeme all thy precepts most iust, and hate all false wayes.

¹³⁰ The entrance into thy wordes sheweth light, and giueth vnderstanding to the simple.

¹⁵² I haue knowen long since by thy testimonies, that thou hast established them for euer.

¹⁹ He sheweth his word vnto Iaakob, his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel. ²⁰ He hath not dealt so with euery nation, neither haue they knowen his iudgements. Prayse ye the Lord.

⁴ To giue vnto the simple, sharpenesse of wit, and to the childe knowledge and discretion.

²² O ye foolish, howe long will ye loue foolishnes? and the scornefull take their pleasure in scorning, and the fooles hate knowledge? ²³ (Turne you at my correction: loe, I will powre out my mind vnto you, and make you vnderstand my wordes)

¹⁶ Binde vp the testimonie: seale vp the Law among my disciples.

²⁰ To the Law, and to the testimonie, if they speake not according to this worde: it is because there is no light in them.

³² And what hee hath seene and heard, that he testifieth: but no man receiueth his testimonie. ³³ He that hath receiued his testimonie, hath sealed that God is true.

³⁹ Searche the Scriptures: for in them ye thinke to haue eternall life, and they are they which testifie of me.

⁴³ To him also giue all the Prophets witnesse, that through his Name all that beleeue in him, shall receiue remission of sinnes.

² Much euery maner of way: for chiefly, because vnto them were of credite committed the oracles of God.

² And fashion not your selues like vnto this worlde, but bee yee changed by the renewing of your minde, that ye may prooue what that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God is.

⁴ For whatsoeuer things are written aforetime, are writte for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might haue hope.

¹⁶ Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.

⁸ Be not therefore ashamed of the testimonie of our Lord, neither of me his prisoner: but be partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel, according to the power of God,

¹⁹ But the foundation of God remaineth sure, and hath this seale, The Lord knoweth who are his: and, Let euery one that calleth on the Name of Christ, depart from iniquitie.

¹⁵ And that thou hast knowen the holy Scriptures of a childe, which are able to make thee wise vnto saluation, through the faith which is in Christ Iesus. ¹⁶ For the whole Scripture is giuen by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teache, to conuince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousnesse, ¹⁷ That the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect vnto all good workes.

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, wherein it is vnpossible that God should lye, we might haue strong consolation, which haue our refuge to lay holde vpon that hope that is set before vs, ¹⁹ Which hope we haue, as an ancre of the soule, both sure and stedfast, and it entreth into that which is within the vaile,

¹⁷ Euery good giuing, and euery perfect gift is from aboue, and commeth downe from the Father of lights, with whome is no variablenes, neither shadow of turning.

²¹ Wherefore lay apart all filthinesse, and superfluitie of maliciousnesse, and receiue with meekenes the word that is graffed in you, which is able to saue your soules. ²² And be ye doers of the word, and not hearers onely, deceiuing your owne selues. ²³ For if any heare the woorde, and doe it not, he is like vnto a man, that beholdeth his naturall face in a glasse. ²⁴ For when he hath considered himselfe, hee goeth his way, and forgetteth immediately what maner of one he was. ²⁵ But who so looketh in the perfect Lawe of libertie, and continueth therein, hee not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the woorke, shalbe blessed in his deede.

⁹ If we receiue the witnesse of men, the witnesse of God is greater: for this is the witnesse of God, which he testified of his Sonne. ¹⁰ He that beleeueth in that Sonne of God, hath the witnes in himselfe: he that beleeueth not God, hath made him a lyar, because he beleeued not ye record, that God witnessed of that his Sonne. ¹¹ And this is that record, to wit, that God hath giuen vnto vs eternall life, and this life is in that his Sonne. ¹² He that hath that Sonne, hath that life: and he that hath not that Sonne of God, hath not that life.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feete, to worship him: but he said vnto me, See thou doe it not: I am thy fellowe seruant, and one of thy brethren, which haue the testimonie of Iesus. Worship God: for the testimonie of Iesus is the Spirit of prophecie.
