⁵⁰ Great deliuerances giueth hee vnto his King, and sheweth mercie to his anoynted, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.

¹⁰ The Lordes aduersaries shall be destroyed, and out of heauen shall he thunder vpon them: the Lord shall iudge the endes of the worlde, and shall giue power vnto his King, and exalt the horne of his Anoynted.

¹ The Lord then saide vnto Samuel, Howe long wilt thou mourne for Saul, seeing I haue cast him away from reigning ouer Israel? fill thine horne with oyle and come, I will sende thee to Ishai the Bethlehemite: for I haue prouided mee a King among his sonnes.

¹³ He shall buyld an house for my Name, and I will stablish ye throne of his kingdome for euer.

¹¹ And when thy dayes shalbe fulfilled to go with thy fathers, then will I rayse vp thy seede after thee, which shalbe of thy sonnes, and will stablish his kingdome. ¹² He shall builde me an house, and I will stablish his throne for euer. ¹³ I wil be his father, and he shalbe my sonne, aud I will not take my mercie away from him, as I tooke it from him that was before thee. ¹⁴ But I wil establish him in mine house, and in my kingdome for euer, and his throne shalbe stablished for euer,

²⁷ Now therfore, it hath pleased thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may bee before thee for euer: for thou, O Lord, hast blessed it, and it shalbe blessed for euer.

⁶ Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.

⁷¹ Euen from behinde the ewes with yong brought he him to feede his people in Iaakob, and his inheritance in Israel. ⁷² So he fed them according to the simplicitie of his heart, and guided them by the discretion of his hands.

³ I haue made a couenant with my chosen: I haue sworne to Dauid my seruant, ⁴ Thy seede will I stablish for euer, and set vp thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.

²⁰ I haue found Dauid my seruant: with mine holy oyle haue I anoynted him. ²¹ Therefore mine hande shall be established with him, and mine arme shall strengthen him. ²² The enemie shall not oppresse him, neither shall the wicked hurt him. ²³ But I will destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. ²⁴ My trueth also and my mercie shall be with him, and in my Name shall his horne be exalted. ²⁵ I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the floods. ²⁶ He shall cry vnto mee, Thou art my Father, my God and the rocke of my saluation. ²⁷ Also I wil make him my first borne, higher then the Kings of the earth. ²⁸ My mercie will I keepe for him for euermore, and my couenant shall stande fast with him. ²⁹ His seede also will I make to endure for euer, and his throne as the dayes of heauen. ³⁰ But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements: ³¹ If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements: ³² Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with strokes. ³³ Yet my louing kindnesse will I not take from him, neither will I falsifie my trueth. ³⁴ My couenant wil I not breake, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. ³⁵ I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying, ³⁶ His seede shall endure for euer, and his throne shalbe as the sunne before me. ³⁷ He shalbe established for euermore as the moone, and as a faythfull witnes in the heauen. Selah. ³⁸ But thou hast reiected and abhorred, thou hast bene angry with thine Anoynted.

¹⁰ For thy seruant Dauids sake refuse not the face of thine Anointed.

¹⁰ It is he that giueth deliuerance vnto Kings, and rescueth Dauid his seruant from the hurtfull sworde.

⁶ For vnto vs a childe is borne, and vnto vs a Sonne is giuen: and the gouernement is vpon his shoulder, and he shall call his name Wonderfull, Counseller, The mightie God, The euerlasting Father, The prince of peace, ⁷ The increase of his gouernement and peace shall haue none end: he shall sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and vpon his kingdome, to order it, and to stablish it with iudgement and with iustice, from hencefoorth, euen for euer: the zeale of the Lord of hostes will performe this.

³¹ For loe, thou shalt conceiue in thy wobe, and beare a sonne, and shalt call his name Iesus. ³² He shall be great, and shall be called the Sonne of the most High, and the Lord God shall giue vnto him the throne of his father Dauid. ³³ And hee shall reigne ouer the house of Iacob for euer, and of his kingdome shall bee none ende.

⁶⁹ And hath raised vp the horne of saluation vnto vs, in the house of his seruant Dauid,

³⁴ For Dauid is not ascended into heauen, but he sayth, The Lord sayd to my Lord, Sit at my right hande, ³⁵ Vntill I make thine enemies thy footestoole. ³⁶ Therefore, let all the house of Israel know for a suretie, that God hath made him both Lord, and Christ, this Iesus, I say, whome yee haue crucified.

³ Concerning his Sonne Iesus Christ our Lord (which was made of the seede of Dauid according to the flesh,

²⁹ For the giftes and calling of God are without repentance.

¹⁶ Nowe to Abraham and his seede were the promises made. Hee saith not, And to the seedes, as speaking of many: but, And to thy seede, as of one, which is Christ.

⁹ Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him, and giuen him a Name aboue euery name, ¹⁰ That at the Name of Iesus shoulde euery knee bowe, both of things in heauen, and things in earth, and things vnder the earth, ¹¹ And that euery tongue shoulde confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lord, vnto the glory of God the Father.
