²⁰ The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:

¹¹ Behold, this day thine eyes haue seene, that the Lord had deliuered thee this day into mine hand in the caue, and some bade me kill thee, but I had compassion on thee, and said, I will not lay mine hande on my master: for he is the Lordes Anoynted. ¹² Moreouer my father, behold: behold, I say, the lappe of thy garment in mine hand: for when I cut off the lappe of thy garment, I killed thee not. Vnderstad and see, that there is neither euil nor wickednesse in mee, neither haue I sinned against thee, yet thou huntest after my soule to take it. ¹³ The Lord be iudge betweene thee and me, and the Lord auenge me of thee, and let not mine hand be vpon thee.

¹⁷ Whe Dauid had made an end of speaking these words to Saul, Saul sayd, Is this thy voyce, my sonne Dauid? and Saul lift vp his voice, and wept,

¹⁹ And thou hast shewed this day, that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the Lord had closed me in thine hands, thou killedst me not. ²⁰ For who shall finde his enemie, and let him depart free? wherefore the Lord render thee good for that thou hast done vnto me this day.

³⁰ The innocent shall deliuer the yland, and it shalbe preserued by the purenes of thine hands.

³ O Lord my God, if I haue done this thing, if there be any wickednes in mine handes,

⁸ The Lord shall iudge the people: Iudge thou me, O Lord, according to my righteousnesse, and according to mine innocencie, that is in mee.

²⁴ Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.

⁴ Euen he that hath innocent handes, and a pure heart: which hath not lift vp his minde vnto vanitie, nor sworne deceitfully.

⁶ I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

¹¹ And men shall say, Verily there is fruite for the righteous: doutlesse there is a God that iudgeth in the earth.

¹⁸ The wicked worketh a deceitful worke: but hee that soweth righteousnes, shall receiue a sure rewarde.

⁴ And I said, I haue labored in vaine: I haue spent my strength in vaine and for nothing: but my iudgement is with the Lord, and my woorke with my God.

¹¹ Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.

⁴ That thine almes may be in secret, and thy Father that seeth in secret, hee will rewarde thee openly.

⁸ And he that planteth, and he that watreth, are one, and euery man shall receiue his wages, according to his labour.
