³ If thou, O Lord, straightly markest iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

² I knowe verily that it is so: for howe should man compared vnto God, be iustified? ³ If I would dispute with him, hee could not answere him one thing of a thousand.

²⁰ If I woulde iustifie my selfe, mine owne mouth shall condemne mee: if I would be perfite, he shall iudge me wicked.

¹⁴ If I haue sinned, then thou wilt streightly looke vnto me, and wilt not holde mee giltlesse of mine iniquitie.

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be cleane? and he that is borne of woman, that he shoulde be iust?

⁷ Thou, euen thou art to be feared: and who shall stand in thy sight, when thou art angrie!

² (And enter not into iudgement with thy seruant: for in thy sight shall none that liueth, be iustified)

⁶ All we like sheepe haue gone astraye: wee haue turned euery one to his owne way, and the Lord hath layed vpon him the iniquitie of vs all.

⁶ Who can stande before his wrath? or who can abide in the fiercenesse of his wrath? his wrath is powred out like fire, and the rockes are broken by him.

² But who may abide the day of his comming? and who shall endure, when he appeareth? for he is like a purging fire, and like fullers sope.

⁷ And while they continued asking him, hee lift himselfe vp, and sayde vnto them, Let him that is among you without sinne, cast the first stone at her. ⁸ And againe hee stouped downe, and wrote on the ground. ⁹ And when they heard it, being accused by their owne conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at ye eldest euen to the last: so Iesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the mids.

²⁰ Therefore by the woorkes of the Lawe shall no flesh be iustified in his sight: for by the Lawe commeth the knowledge of sinne. ²¹ But nowe is the righteousnesse, of God made manifest without the Lawe, hauing witnes of the Lawe and of the Prophets, ²² To wit, the righteousnesse of God by the faith of Iesus Christ, vnto all, and vpon all that beleeue. ²³ For there is no difference: for all haue sinned, and are depriued of the glorie of God, ²⁴ And are iustified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Iesus,
