¹⁹ He appoynted the moone for certaine seasons: the sunne knoweth his going downe.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres. ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heauen to giue light vpon the earth: and it was so. ¹⁶ God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesse light to rule the night: he made also the starres. ¹⁷ And God set them in the firmament of the heauen, to shine vpon the earth, ¹⁸ And to rule in the day, and in the night, and to separate the light from the darkenesse: and God saw that it was good.

¹⁹ And lest thou lift vp thine eyes vnto heauen, and when thou seest the sunne and the moone and the starres with all the host of heauen, shouldest bee driuen to worship them and serue them, which the Lord thy God hath distributed to all people vnder the whole heauen.

²⁶ If I did behold the sunne, when it shined, or the moone, walking in her brightnes, ²⁷ If mine heart did flatter me in secrete, or if my mouth did kisse mine hand, ²⁸ (This also had bene an iniquitie to be condemned: for I had denied the God aboue)

¹² Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place,

³ When I beholde thine heauens, euen the workes of thy fingers, the moone and the starres which thou hast ordeined,

⁶ His going out is from the ende of the heauen, and his compasse is vnto the endes of ye same, and none is hid from the heate thereof.

⁷ Which made great lightes: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁸ As the sunne to rule the day: for his mercie endureth for euer: ⁹ The moone and the starres to gouerne the night: for his mercie endureth for euer:

³⁵ Thus saith the Lord, which giueth the sunne for a light to the day, and the courses of the moone and of the starres for a light to the night, which breaketh the sea, when the waues thereof roare: his Name is the Lord of hostes.
