¹¹ There is a generation that curseth their father, and doeth not blesse their mother.

¹⁷ And hee that curseth his father or his mother, shall die the death.

⁹ If there be any that curseth his father or his mother, he shall die the death: seeing hee hath cursed his father and his mother, his blood shalbe vpon him.

²⁰ And shall say vnto the Elders of his citie, This our sonne is stubburne and disobedient, and he wil not obey our admonition: he is a riotour, and a drunkard. ²¹ Then all the men of his citie shall stone him with stones vnto death: so thou shalt take away euill from among you, that all Israel may heare it, and feare.

¹² There is a generation that are pure in their owne conceite, and yet are not washed from their filthinesse. ¹³ There is a generation, whose eies are hautie, and their eye liddes are lifted vp. ¹⁴ There is a generation, whose teeth are as swordes, and their chawes as kniues to eate vp the afflicted out of the earth, and the poore from among men.

¹⁷ The eye that mocketh his father and despiseth the instruction of his mother, let ye rauens of the valley picke it out, and the yong eagles eate it.

⁷ Now when he sawe many of the Pharises, and of the Sadduces come to his baptisme, he said vnto them, O generations of vipers, who hath forewarned you to flee from the anger to come?

⁴ For God hath commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and he that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. ⁵ But ye say, Whosoeuer shall say to father or mother, By the gift that is offered by me, thou maiest haue profite, ⁶ Though hee honour not his father, or his mother, shalbe free: thus haue ye made the commandement of God of no aucthoritie by your tradition.

¹⁰ For Moses sayd, Honour thy father and thy mother: and Whosoeuer shall speake euill of father or mother, let him die the death. ¹¹ But yee say, If a man say to father or mother, Corban, that is, By the gift that is offered by mee, thou mayest haue profite, hee shall be free. ¹² So ye suffer him no more to doe any thing for his father, or his mother, ¹³ Making the worde of God of none authoritie, by your tradition which ye haue ordeined: and ye doe many such like things.

⁴ But if any widowe haue children or nephewes, let them learne first to shewe godlinesse towarde their owne house, and to recompense their kinred: for that is an honest thing and acceptable before God.

⁸ If there bee any that prouideth not for his owne, and namely for them of his housholde, hee denieth the faith, and is worse then an infidell.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,
