² When the righteous are in authoritie, the people reioyce: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people sigh.

¹⁵ And the postes compelled by the Kings commandement went forth, and the commandement was giuen in the palace at Shushan: and the King and Haman sate drinking, but the citie of Shushan was in perplexitie.

¹⁵ And Mordecai went out from the King in royall apparell of blewe, and white, and with a great crowne of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple, and the citie of Shushan reioyced and was glad.

¹ A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne. ² Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie. ³ The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice. ⁴ He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor. ⁵ They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation. ⁶ He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth. ⁷ In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.

¹⁰ In the prosperitie of the righteous the citie reioyceth, and when the wicked perish, there is ioye.

¹² When righteous men reioyce, there is great glory: but when the wicked come vp, the man is tried.

²⁸ When the wicked rise vp, men hide them selues: but when they perish, ye righteous increase.

⁵ There is an euil that I haue seene vnder the sunne, as an errour that proceedeth from the face of him that ruleth.

¹ Behold, a King shall reigne in iustice, and the princes shall rule in iudgement. ² And that man shall bee as an hiding place from the winde, and as a refuge for the tempest: as riuers of water in a drie place, and as the shadowe of a great rocke in a weary land.

⁵ Behold, The dayes come, saith the Lord, that I will raise vnto Dauid a righteous branche, and a King shall reigne, and prosper, and shall execute iudgement, and iustice in the earth. ⁶ In his dayes Iudah shalbe saued, and Israel shall dwell safely, and this is the Name wherby they shall call him, The Lord our righteousnesse.

³ When King Herod heard this, he was troubled, and all Hierusalem with him.

¹⁶ Then Herod, seeing that he was mocked of the Wisemen, was exceeding wroth, and sent foorth, and slew all the male children that were in Beth-leem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two yeere old and vnder, according to the time which he had diligently searched out of the Wisemen.

¹⁵ And the seuenth Angell blewe the trumpet, and there were great voyces in heauen, saying, The kingdomes of this worlde are our Lordes, and his Christes, and he shall reigne for euermore.
