¹⁵ There is golde, and a multitude of precious stones: but the lips of knowledge are a precious iewel.

¹² But where is wisdome found? and where is the place of vnderstanding? ¹³ Man knoweth not the price thereof: for it is not found in the land of the liuing. ¹⁴ The depth sayth, It is not in mee: the sea also sayth, It is not with me. ¹⁵ Golde shall not be giuen for it, neyther shall siluer be weighed for the price thereof. ¹⁶ It shall not be valued with the wedge of golde of Ophir, nor with the precious onix, nor the saphir. ¹⁷ The golde nor the chrystall shall be equall vnto it, nor the exchange shalbe for plate of fine golde. ¹⁸ No mention shall be made of coral, nor of the gabish: for wisedome is more precious then pearles. ¹⁹ The Topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equall vnto it, neither shall it be valued with the wedge of pure gold.

¹⁵ It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.

¹¹ For wisdome is better then precious stones: and all pleasures are not to be compared vnto her.

²⁰ The tongue of the iust man is as fined siluer: but the heart of the wicked is litle worth. ²¹ The lippes of the righteous doe feede many: but fooles shall die for want of wisedome.

⁷ The lippes of the wise doe spread abroade knowledge: but ye heart of the foolish doth not so.

²³ A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?

¹⁶ Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.

²¹ The wise in heart shall bee called prudent: and the sweetenesse of the lippes shall increase doctrine.

²⁴ Faire wordes are as an hony combe, sweetenesse to the soule, and health to the bones.

¹² He that reprooueth the wise, and the obedient eare, is as a golden earering and an ornament of fine golde.

⁹ And the more wise the Preacher was, the more he taught the people knowledge, and caused them to heare, and searched foorth, and prepared many parables. ¹⁰ The Preacher sought to finde out pleasant wordes, and an vpright writing, euen the wordes of trueth. ¹¹ The wordes of the wise are like goads, and like nailes fastened by the masters of the assemblies, which are giuen by one pastour.

¹⁴ But how shall they call on him, in whome they haue not beleeued? and how shall they beleeue in him, of whom they haue not heard? and howe shall they heare without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, Howe beautifull are the feete of them which bring glad tidings of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

²⁹ Let no corrupt comunication proceed out of your mouths: but that which is good, to ye vse of edifying, that it may minister grace vnto the hearers.
