¹⁷ Brethren, bee followers of mee, and looke on them, which walke so, as yee haue vs for an ensample.

³⁷ Marke the vpright man, and beholde the iust: for the end of that man is peace.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you brethren, marke them diligently which cause diuision and offences, contrary to the doctrine which ye haue learned, and auoide them.

¹⁶ Wherefore, I pray you, be ye folowers of me.

³² Giue none offence, neither to the Iewes, nor to the Grecians, nor to the Church of God:

⁹ Which yee haue both learned and receiued, and heard, and seene in mee: those things doe, and the God of peace shalbe with you.

⁶ And ye became followers of vs, and of the Lord, and receiued the worde in much affliction, with ioy of the holy Ghost,

¹⁰ Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily, and iustly, and vnblameably we behaued our selues among you that beleeue. ¹¹ As ye knowe how that we exhorted you, and comforted, and besought euery one of you (as a father his children) ¹² That ye would walke worthy of God, who hath called you vnto his kingdome and glorie. ¹³ For this cause also thanke we God without ceasing, that when ye receiued the worde of God, which ye heard of vs, ye receiued it not as the worde of men, but as it is in deede the worde of God, which also worketh in you that beleeue. ¹⁴ For brethren, ye are become folowers of the Churches of God, which in Iudea are in Christ Iesus, because ye haue also suffred the same things of your owne countrey men, euen as they haue of the Iewes,

⁷ For ye your selues know, how ye ought to follow vs: for we behaued not our selues inordinately among you,

⁹ Not because we haue not authoritie, but that we might make our selues an ensample vnto you to follow vs.

¹⁴ If any man obey not this our saying in this letter, note him, and haue no company with him, that he may be ashamed:

¹² Let no man despise thy youth, but be vnto them that beleeue, an ensample, in worde, in conuersation, in loue, in spirit, in faith, and in purenesse.

⁷ So that we may boldly say, The Lord is mine helper, neither will I feare what man can doe vnto me.

³ Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke.
