⁴¹ And Moses gaue the tribute of the Lordes offring vnto Eleazar the Priest, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

⁹ And euery offring of all the holy thinges of the children of Israel, which they bring vnto the Priest, shalbe his.

⁸ Againe the Lord spake vnto Aaron, Behold, I haue giuen thee the keeping of mine offrings, of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel: vnto thee I haue giuen them for the anoyntings sake, and to thy sonnes, for a perpetuall ordinance.

¹⁹ All the heaue offrings of the holy things which the children of Israel shall offer vnto the Lord, haue I giuen thee, and thy sonnes, and thy daughters with thee, to be a duetie for euer: it is a perpetual couenant of salt before the Lord, to thee, and to thy seede with thee.

²⁹ Yee shall take it of their halfe and giue it vnto Eleazar the Priest, as an heaue offring of the Lord. ³⁰ But of the halfe of the children of Israel thou shalt take one, taken out of fiftie, both of the persons, of the beeues, of the asses, and of the sheepe, euen of all the cattel: and thou shalt giue them vnto the Leuites, which haue the charge of the Tabernacle of the Lord. ³¹ And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

¹⁰ Nor a scrippe for the iourney, neither two coates, neither shoes, nor a staffe: for the workeman is worthie of his meate.

¹⁰ Either saith hee it not altogether for our sakes? For our sakes no doubt it is written, that he which eareth, should eare in hope, and that he that thresheth in hope, should be partaker of his hope. ¹¹ If wee haue sowen vnto you spirituall thinges, is it a great thing if we reape your carnall thinges? ¹² If others with you bee partakers of this power, are not we rather? neuerthelesse, we haue not vsed this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ. ¹³ Doe ye not knowe, that they which minister about the holy things, eate of the things of the Temple? and they which waite at the altar, are partakers with the altar? ¹⁴ So also hath the Lord ordeined, that they which preach ye Gospel, should liue of the Gospel.

⁶ Let him that is taught in the worde, make him that hath taught him, partaker of all his goods.

¹⁷ The Elders that rule well, let them be had in double honour, specially they which labour in the worde and doctrine,

⁴ Nowe consider how great this man was, vnto whome euen the Patriarke Abraham gaue the tithe of the spoyles. ⁵ For verely they which are the childre of Leui, which receiue the office of the Priesthode, haue a commandement to take, according to the Law, tithes of the people (that is, of their bethren) though they came out of ye loynes of Abraham. ⁶ But he whose kindred is not couted among them, receiued tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

⁹ And to say as the thing is, Leui also which receiueth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. ¹⁰ For hee was yet in the loynes of his father Abraham, when Melchi-sedec met him. ¹¹ If therefore perfection had bene by the Priesthoode of the Leuites (for vnder it the Lawe was established to the people) what needed it furthermore, that another Priest should rise after the order of Melchi-sedec, and not to be called after the order of Aaron? ¹² For if the Priesthood be changed, then of necessitie must there be a change of the Lawe.
