⁶² Then the chiefe Priest arose, and sayde to him, Answerest thou nothing? What is the matter that these men witnesse against thee?

¹² And when he was accused of the chiefe Priestes, and Elders, he answered nothing. ¹³ Then saide Pilate vnto him, Hearest thou not howe many things they lay against thee? ¹⁴ But he answered him not to one worde, in so much that the gouernour marueiled greatly.

⁶⁰ Then the hie Priest stoode vp amongst them, and asked Iesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is the matter that these beare witnesse against thee?

⁹ Then questioned hee with him of many things: but he answered him nothing.

⁹ And went againe into the common hall, and saide vnto Iesus, Whence art thou? But Iesus gaue him none answere. ¹⁰ Then saide Pilate vnto him, Speakest thou not vnto me? Knowest thou not that I haue power to crucifie thee, and haue power to loose thee? ¹¹ Iesus answered, Thou couldest haue no power at all against me, except it were giuen thee from aboue: therefore he that deliuered me vnto thee, hath the greater sinne.
