¹⁶ Or if the rawe flesh change and be turned into white, then he shall come to the Priest,

¹⁴ For we knowe that the Law is spirituall, but I am carnall, solde vnder sinne. ¹⁵ For I alow not that which I do: for what I would, that do I not: but what I hate, that do I. ¹⁶ If I doe then that which I woulde not, I consent to the Lawe, that it is good. ¹⁷ Nowe then, it is no more I, that doe it, but sinne that dwelleth in me. ¹⁸ For I know, that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to wil is preset with me: but I find no meanes to perform that which is good. ¹⁹ For I doe not the good thing, which I would, but the euil, which I would not, that do I. ²⁰ Nowe if I do that I would not, it is no more I that doe it, but the sinne that dwelleth in me. ²¹ I finde then that when I would doe good, I am thus yoked, that euill is present with me. ²² For I delite in the Law of God, concerning the inner man: ²³ But I see another Law in my members, rebelling against the Lawe of my minde, and leading me captiue vnto the lawe of sinne, which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am, who shall deliuer me from the body of this death!

¹⁴ And profited in the Iewish religion aboue many of my companions of mine owne nation, and was much more zealous of the traditions of my fathers. ¹⁵ But when it pleased God (which had separated me from my mothers wombe, and called me by his grace) ¹⁶ To reueile his Sonne in me, that I should preach him among the Gentiles, immediatly I communicated not with flesh and blood:

⁶ Concerning zeale, I persecuted ye Church: touching the righteousnesse which is in the Law, I was vnrebukeable. ⁷ But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake. ⁸ Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ,

¹³ When before I was a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and an oppresser: but I was receiued to mercie: for I did it ignorantly through vnbeliefe. ¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and loue, which is in Christ Iesus. ¹⁵ This is a true saying, and by all meanes worthy to be receiued, that Christ Iesus came into the worlde to saue sinners, of whom I am chiefe.
