⁵ (Nowe Ioshua had saide vnto the people, Sanctifie your selues: for to morowe the Lord will doe wonders among you)

¹⁰ Moreouer, the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Goe to the people, and sanctifie them to day and to morow, and let them wash their clothes. ¹¹ And let them be ready on the third day: for the thirde day the Lord will come downe in the sight of all the people vpon mount Sinai: ¹² And thou shalt set markes vnto the people rounde about, saying, Take heede to your selues that ye goe not vp the mount, nor touche the border of it: whosoeuer toucheth the mount, shall surely die. ¹³ No hand shall touche it, but he shalbe stoned to death, or striken through with darts: whether it be beast or man, he shall not liue: when the horne bloweth long, they shall come vp into the mountaine. ¹⁴ Then Moses went downe from ye mount vnto the people, and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes. ¹⁵ And he said vnto the people, Be ready on the third day, and come not at your wiues.

³ Then Moses sayde vnto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will bee sanctified in the that come neere me, and before all the people I will be glorified: but Aaron held his peace.

⁷ Sanctifie your selues therefore, and be holie, for I am the Lord your God.

⁸ The people went about and gathered it, and ground it in milles, or beat it in morters, and baked it in a cauldron, and made cakes of it, and the taste of it was like vnto the taste of fresh oyle.

¹³ And assoone as the soles of the feete of the Priestes (that beare the Arke of the Lord God the Lord of all the worlde) shall stay in the waters of Iorden, the waters of Iorden shall be cut off: for the waters that come from aboue, shall stande still vpon an heape.

¹⁵ And as they that bare the Arke came vnto Iorden, and the feete of the Priestes that bare the Arke were dipped in the brinke of the water, (for Iorden vseth to fill all his bankes all the time of haruest)

¹³ Vp therefore, sanctifie the people, and say, Sanctifie your selues against to morowe: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an execrable thing among you, O Israel, therefore ye cannot stand against your enemies, vntill ye haue put the execrable thing from among you.

⁵ And he answeared, Yea: I am come to doe sacrifice vnto the Lord: sanctifie your selues, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Ishai and his sonnes, and called them to the sacrifice.

⁵ And when the dayes of their banketting were gone about, Iob sent, and sanctified them, and rose vp early in the morning, and offred burnt offrings according to the nomber of them all. For Iob thought, It may be that my sonnes haue sinned, and blasphemed God in their hearts: thus did Iob euery day.

¹⁰ For thou art great and doest wonderous things: thou art God alone.

¹ When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people, ² Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion. ³ The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe. ⁴ The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes. ⁵ What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe? ⁶ Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes? ⁷ The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,

¹⁶ Gather the people: sanctifie the congregation, gather the elders: assemble the children, and those that sucke the breastes: let the bridegrome go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her bride chamber.

¹⁹ And for their sakes sanctifie I my selfe, that they also may bee sanctified through the trueth.
