⁶ That which is borne of the flesh, is flesh: and that that is borne of the Spirit, is spirit.

³ Nowe Adam liued an hundred and thirtie yeeres, and begate a childe in his owne likenes after his image, and called his name Sheth.

⁵ When the Lord sawe that the wickednesse of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughtes of his heart were onely euill continually,

¹² Then God looked vpon the earth, and beholde, it was corrupt: for all flesh had corrupt his way vpon the earth.

⁴ Who can bring a cleane thing out of filthinesse? there is not one.

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be cleane? and he that is borne of woman, that he shoulde be iust? ¹⁵ Beholde, he founde no stedfastnesse in his Saintes: yea, the heauens are not cleane in his sight. ¹⁶ How much more is man abominable, and filthie, which drinketh iniquitie like water?

⁴ And howe may a man be iustified with God? or how can he be cleane, that is borne of woman?

¹⁰ Create in mee a cleane heart, O God, and renue a right spirit within me.

¹⁹ And I will giue them one heart, and I will put a newe spirit within their bowels: and I will take the stonie heart out of their bodies, and will giue them an heart of flesh, ²⁰ That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements, and execute them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

²⁶ A newe heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit wil I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your body, and I will giue you an heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put my spirite within you, and cause you to walke in my statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements and do them.

¹³ Which are borne not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of ye wil of man, but of God.

⁵ For when we were in ye flesh, the affections of sinnes, which were by the Law, had force in our members, to bring foorth fruit vnto death.

¹⁸ For I know, that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to wil is preset with me: but I find no meanes to perform that which is good.

²⁵ I thanke God through Iesus Christ our Lord. Then I my selfe in my minde serue the Lawe of God, but in my flesh the lawe of sinne.

⁴ That that righteousnes of the Law might be fulfilled in vs, which walke not after ye flesh, but after the Spirit. ⁵ For they that are after the flesh, sauour the things of the flesh: but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. ⁶ For the wisedome of the flesh is death: but the wisedome of the Spirit is life and peace, ⁷ Because the wisedome of the flesh is enimitie against God: for it is not subiect to the Lawe of God, neither in deede can be. ⁸ So then they that are in the flesh, can not please God. ⁹ Now ye are not in the flesh, but in ye Spirit, because ye spirit of God dwelleth in you: but if any man hath not ye Spirit of Christ, ye same is not his.

¹³ For if ye liue after the flesh, ye shall die: but if yee mortifie the deedes of the body by the Spirit, ye shall liue.

¹⁷ But hee that is ioyned vnto the Lord, is one spirite.

⁴⁷ The first man is of the earth, earthly: the second man is the Lord from heauen. ⁴⁸ As is the earthly, such are they that are earthly: and as is the heauenly, such are they also that are heauenly. ⁴⁹ And as we haue borne the image of the earthly, so shall we beare the image of the heauenly. ⁵⁰ This say I, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherite the kingdome of God, neither doeth corruption inherite incorruption.

¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, let him be a newe creature. Olde things are passed away: beholde, all things are become newe.

¹⁶ Then I say, Walke in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lustes of the flesh. ¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary one to another, so that ye can not doe the same things that ye would. ¹⁸ And if ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not vnder the Lawe. ¹⁹ Moreouer the workes of the flesh are manifest, which are adulterie, fornication, vncleannes, wantonnes, ²⁰ Idolatrie, witchcraft, hatred, debate, emulations, wrath, contentions, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Enuie, murthers, drunkennesse, gluttonie, and such like, whereof I tell you before, as I also haue tolde you before, that they which doe such things, shall not inherite the kingdome of God.

²⁴ For they that are Christes, haue crucified the flesh with the affections and the lustes.

³ Among whom we also had our conuersation in time past, in the lustes of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.

¹¹ In whome also yee are circumcised with circumcision made without handes, by putting off the sinfull body of the flesh, through the circumcision of Christ,

⁹ Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God.
