⁵ But now I go my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

⁶² What then if yee should see that Sonne of man ascend vp where he was before?

³³ Then saide Iesus vnto them, Yet am I a little while with you, and then goe I vnto him that sent mee.

³ Iesus knowing that the Father had giuen all things into his hands, and that he was come forth from God, and went to God,

³⁶ Simon Peter said vnto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Iesus answered him, Whither I goe, thou canst not follow me nowe: but thou shalt follow me afterward.

⁴ And whither I go, ye know, and the way ye knowe. ⁵ Thomas sayd vnto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest: how can we then know ye way? ⁶ Iesus sayd vnto him, I am that Way, and that Trueth, and that Life. No man commeth vnto the Father, but by me.

²⁸ Ye haue heard howe I saide vnto you, I goe away, and will come vnto you. If ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I said, I goe vnto the Father: for the Father is greater then I.

¹⁰ Of righteousnesse, because I goe to my Father, and ye shall see me no more:

¹⁶ A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe a litle while, and ye shall see me: for I goe to the Father.

²⁸ I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.

⁴ I haue glorified thee on the earth: I haue finished the worke which thou gauest me to doe.

¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things speake I in the worlde, that they might haue my ioy fulfilled in themselues.

⁷ But vnto euery one of vs is giuen grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ⁸ Wherfore he saith, Whe he asceded vp on hie, he led captiuity captiue, and gaue gifts vnto men. ⁹ (Nowe, in that hee ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest partes of the earth? ¹⁰ Hee that descended, is euen the same that ascended, farre aboue all heauens, that hee might fill all things) ¹¹ Hee therefore gaue some to be Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Euangelists, and some Pastours, and Teachers,

³ Who being the brightnes of the glory, and the ingraued forme of his person, and bearing vp all things by his mightie worde, hath by himselfe purged our sinnes, and sitteth at the right hand of the Maiestie in the highest places,

² Looking vnto Iesus the authour and finisher of our faith, who for the ioy that was set before him, endured the crosse, and despised the shame, and is set at the right hand of the throne of God.
