¹ Nowe before the feast of the Passeouer, when Iesus knewe that his houre was come, that he should depart out of this world vnto the Father, forasmuch as he loued his owne which were in the world, vnto the end he loued them.

³ The Lord hath appeared vnto me of old, say they: Yea, I haue loued thee with an euerlasting loue, therefore with mercie I haue drawen thee.

² Ye know that after two dayes is ye Passeouer, and the Sonne of man shalbe deliuered to be crucified. ³ Then assembled together the chiefe Priests, and the Scribes, and the Elders of ye people into the hall of the high Priest called Caiaphas: ⁴ And consulted together that they might take Iesus by subtiltie, and kill him. ⁵ But they sayd, Not on the feast day, least any vprore be among the people.

⁴⁵ Then came he to his disciples, and said vnto them, Sleepe henceforth, and take your rest: behold, the houre is at hand, and the Sonne of man is giuen into the hands of sinners.

²⁰ Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.

¹ And two daies after followed the feast of the Passeouer, and of vnleauened bread: and the hie Priests, and Scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. ² But they sayde, Not in the feast day, least there be any tumult among the people.

⁵¹ And it came to passe, when the dayes were accomplished, that he should be receiued vp, he setled himselfe fully to goe to Hierusalem,

³² Then said he vnto them, Goe ye and tell that foxe, Beholde, I cast out deuils, and will heale still to day, and to morowe, and the third day I shalbe perfected. ³³ Neuerthelesse I must walke to day, and to morowe, and the day following: for it cannot be that a Prophet should perish out of Hierusalem.

¹ Now the feast of vnleauened bread drewe neere, which is called the Passeouer. ² And the hie Priests and Scribes sought how they might kill him: for they feared the people.

⁵³ When I was dayly with you in the Temple, yee stretched not foorth the handes against mee: but this is your very houre, and the power of darkenesse.

⁴ Now the Passeouer, a feast of the Iewes, was neere.

⁶ Then Iesus saide vnto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway readie.

³⁰ Then they sought to take him, but no man layde handes on him, because his houre was not yet come.

²⁰ These wordes spake Iesus in the treasurie, as hee taught in the Temple, and no man layde handes on him: for his houre was not yet come.

⁹ Iesus answered, Are there not twelue houres in the day? If a man walke in the day, hee stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. ¹⁰ But if a man walke in the night, hee stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

⁵⁵ And the Iewes Passeouer was at hande, and many went out of the countrey vp to Hierusalem before the Passeouer, to purifie themselues.

²³ And Iesus answered them, saying, The houre is come, that the Sonne of man must bee glorified.

³ Iesus knowing that the Father had giuen all things into his hands, and that he was come forth from God, and went to God,

³⁴ A newe commandement giue I vnto you, that ye loue one another: as I haue loued you, that ye also loue one another.

²⁸ Ye haue heard howe I saide vnto you, I goe away, and will come vnto you. If ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I said, I goe vnto the Father: for the Father is greater then I.

⁹ As the father hath loued me, so haue I loued you: continue in that my loue. ¹⁰ If ye shall keepe my commandements, ye shall abide in my loue, as I haue kept my Fathers commandements, and abide in his loue.

¹³ Greater loue then this hath no man, when any man bestoweth his life for his friendes. ¹⁴ Ye are my friendes, if ye doe whatsoeuer I commaund you.

⁵ But now I go my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? ⁶ But because I haue saide these thinges vnto you, your hearts are full of sorowe. ⁷ Yet I tell you the trueth, It is expedient for you that I goe away: for if I goe not away, that Comforter will not come vnto you: but if I depart, I will send him vnto you.

²⁸ I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.

¹ These things spake Iesus, and lift vp his eyes to heauen, and saide, Father, that houre is come: glorifie thy Sonne, that thy Sonne also may glorifie thee,

⁵ And nowe glorifie me, thou Father, with thine owne selfe, with the glorie which I had with thee before the world was.

⁹ I pray for them: I pray not for the worlde, but for them which thou hast giuen me: for they are thine. ¹⁰ And al mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them. ¹¹ And nowe am I no more in the world, but these are in the worlde, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keepe them in thy Name, euen them whome thou hast giuen mee, that they may bee one, as we are.

¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things speake I in the worlde, that they might haue my ioy fulfilled in themselues. ¹⁴ I haue giuen them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

¹⁶ They are not of the worlde, as I am not of the world.

²⁶ And I haue declared vnto the thy Name, and will declare it, that the loue wherewith thou hast loued me, may be in them, and I in them.

⁴ Then Iesus, knowing all things that shoulde come vnto him, went foorth and said vnto them, Whom seeke yee?

³⁷ Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs.

⁸ Who shall also confirme you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse, in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ.

²⁵ Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it, ²⁶ That hee might sanctifie it, and clense it by the washing of water through the worde,

⁶ But Christ is as the Sonne, ouer his owne house, whose house we are, if we holde fast that confidence and that reioycing of that hope vnto the ende.

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we keepe sure vnto the ende that beginning, wherewith we are vpholden,

¹¹ And we desire that euery one of you shew the same diligence, to the full assurance of hope vnto the ende,

¹³ Wherefore, girde vp the Ioynes of your minde: bee sober, and trust perfectly on that grace that is brought vnto you, in the reuelation of Iesus Christ,

¹⁹ We loue him, because he loued vs first.

⁵ And from Iesus Christ, which is that faithful witnes, and that first begotten of the dead, and that Prince of the Kings of the earth, vnto him that loued vs, and washed vs from our sinnes in his blood,
