²⁴ Martha said vnto him, I know that he shall rise againe in the resurrection at the last day.

¹⁵ But I will beholde thy face in righteousnes, and when I awake, I shalbe satisfied with thine image.

¹⁴ Like sheepe they lie in graue: death deuoureth them, and the righteous shall haue domination ouer them in the morning: for their beautie shall consume, when they shall goe from their house to graue. ¹⁵ But God shall deliuer my soule from the power of the graue: for he will receiue me. Selah.

⁸ He wil destroy death for euer: and the Lord God wil wipe away the teares from all faces, and the rebuke of his people will he take away out of all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it.

¹⁹ Thy dead men shall liue: euen with my body shall they rise. Awake, and sing, ye that dwel in dust: for thy dewe is as the dew of herbes, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

¹ The hand of the Lord was vpon me, and caryed me out in ye spirit of ye Lord, and set me downe in ye mids of the field, which was full of bones. ² And he led me round about by them, and beholde, they were very many in the open fielde, and lo, they were very drie. ³ And he sayde vnto me, Sonne of man, can these bones liue? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. ⁴ Againe he sayde vnto me, Prophecie vpon these bones and say vnto them, O ye dry bones, heare the word of the Lord. ⁵ Thus saith the Lord God vnto these bones, Behold, I wil cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall liue. ⁶ And I will lay sinewes vpon you, and make flesh growe vpon you, and couer you with skinne, and put breath in you, that ye may liue, and yee shall know that I am the Lord. ⁷ So I prophecied, as I was commanded: and as I prophecied, there was a noyse, and beholde, there was a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. ⁸ And when I beheld, loe, the sinewes, and the flesh grewe vpon them, and aboue, the skinne couered them, but there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then sayd he vnto me, Prophecie vnto the winde: prophecie, sonne of man, and say to the winde, Thus sayth the Lord God, Come from the foure windes, O breath, and breathe vpon these slayne, that they may liue. ¹⁰ So I prophecied as hee had commanded me: and the breath came into them, and they liued, and stood vp vpon their feete, an exceeding great armie.

² And many of them that sleepe in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to euerlasting life, and some to shame and perpetuall contempt. ³ And they that be wise, shall shine, as ye brightnes of the firmament: and they that turne many to righteousnes, shall shine as the starres, for euer and euer.

² After two dayes will he reuiue vs, and in the third day he will raise vs vp, and we shall liue in his sight.

¹⁴ I wil redeeme them from the power of the graue: I will deliuer them from death: O death, I wil be thy death: O graue, I will be thy destruction: repentance is hid from mine eyes.

²³ The same day the Sadduces came to him (which say that there is no resurrection) and asked him, ²⁴ Saying, Master, Moses sayd, If a man die, hauing no children, his brother shall marie his wife by the right of alliance, and raise vp seede vnto his brother. ²⁵ Nowe there were with vs seuen brethren, and the first maried a wife, and deceased: and hauing none yssue, left his wife vnto his brother. ²⁶ Likewise also the second, and the third, vnto the seuenth. ²⁷ And last of all the woman died also. ²⁸ Therefore in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seuen? for all had her. ²⁹ Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Ye are deceiued, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. ³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marie wiues, nor wiues are bestowed in mariage, but are as the Angels of God in heauen. ³¹ And concerning the resurrection of the dead, haue ye not read what is spoken vuto you of God, saying, ³² I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuing.

¹⁴ And thou shalt be blessed, because they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the iust.

²⁸ Marueile not at this: for the houre shall come, in the which all that are in the graues, shall heare his voyce. ²⁹ And they shall come foorth, that haue done good, vnto ye resurrection of life: but they that haue done euil, vnto the resurrection of condemnation.

³¹ Because hee hath appoynted a day in the which he wil iudge the world in righteousnes, by that man whome hee hath appoynted, whereof he hath giuen an assurance to all men, in that hee hath raised him from the dead. ³² Now when they heard of the resurrection from the dead, some mocked, and other sayde, We will heare thee againe of this thing.

⁶ But when Paul perceiued that the one part were of the Sadduces, and the other of the Pharises, hee cried in the Council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharise, the sonne of a Pharise: I am accused of the hope and resurrection of the dead. ⁷ And when hee had saide this, there was a dissension betweene the Pharises and the Sadduces, so that the multitude was deuided. ⁸ For the Sadduces say that there is no resurrection, neither Angel, nor spirit: but the Pharises confesse both. ⁹ Then there was a great crye: and the Scribes of the Pharises part rose vp, and stroue, saying, Wee finde none euill in this man: but if a spirit or an Angel hath spoken to him, let vs not fight against God.

¹⁵ And haue hope towardes God, that the resurrection of the dead, which they themselues looke for also, shalbe both of iust and vniust.

³⁵ The women receiued their dead raised to life: other also were racked, and woulde not be deliuered, that they might receiue a better resurrection.
