²² Be not afrayde, ye beastes of the fielde: for the pastures of the wildernesse are greene: for the tree beareth her fruite: the figge tree and the vine do giue their force.

¹² When thou shalt till the grounde, it shall not henceforth yeelde vnto thee her strength: a vagabond and a runnagate shalt thou be in the earth.

⁴ I will then sende you raine in due season, and the land shall yelde her increase, and the trees of the fielde shall giue her fruite. ⁵ And your threshing shall reache vnto the vintage, and the vintage shall reache vnto sowing time, and you shall eate your bread in plenteousnesse, and dwell in your land safely.

⁶ Thy righteousnesse is like the mightie moutaines: thy iudgements are like a great deepe: thou, Lord, doest saue man and beast.

¹² They drop vpon the pastures of the wildernesse: and the hils shalbe compassed with gladnes.

⁶ Then shall the earth bring foorth her increase, and God, euen our God shall blesse vs.

¹¹ They shall giue drinke to all the beasts of the fielde, and the wilde asses shall quench their thirst. ¹² By these springs shall the foules of the heauen dwell, and sing among the branches. ¹³ He watereth the mountaines from his chambers, and the earth is filled with the fruite of thy workes. ¹⁴ He causeth grasse to growe for the cattell, and herbe for the vse of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth,

²⁷ All these waite vpon thee, that thou maiest giue them foode in due season. ²⁸ Thou giuest it to them, and they gather it: thou openest thine hand, and they are filled with good things. ²⁹ But if thou hide thy face, they are troubled: if thou take away their breath, they dye and returne to their dust.

³⁵ Againe hee turneth the wildernesse into pooles of water, and the drie lande into water springs. ³⁶ And there he placeth the hungrie, and they builde a citie to dwell in, ³⁷ And sowe the fieldes, and plant vineyardes, which bring foorth fruitfull increase. ³⁸ For he blesseth them, and they multiplie exceedingly, and he diminisheth not their cattell.

¹⁵ The eyes of all waite vpon thee, and thou giuest them their meate in due season. ¹⁶ Thou openest thine hand, and fillest all things liuing of thy good pleasure.

⁸ Which couereth the heauen with cloudes, and prepareth raine for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaines: ⁹ Which giueth to beasts their foode, and to the yong rauens that crie.

²³ Then shall hee giue raine vnto thy seede, when thou shalt sowe the ground, and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shalbe fat and as oyle: in that day shall thy cattell be fed in large pastures. ²⁴ The oxen also and the yong asses, that till the ground, shall eate cleane prouender, which is winowed with the shoouel and with the fanne.

³ Surely the Lord shall comfort Zion: he shall comfort all her desolations, and he shall make her desert like Eden, and her wildernes like the garden of the Lord: ioy and gladnesse shalbe founde therein: praise, and the voyce of singing.

²⁶ And I wil set them, as a blessing, euen roud about my mountaine: and I will cause rayne to come downe in due season, and there shalbe raine of blessing. ²⁷ And the tree of the fielde shall yeeld her fruite, and the earth shall giue her fruite, and they shalbe safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I haue broken the cordes of their yoke, and deliuered them out of the hands of those that serued themselues of them.

⁸ But you, O mountaines of Israel, yee shall shoote forth your branches, and bring foorth your fruite to my people of Israel: for they are ready to come.

³⁰ For I will multiplie the fruite of the trees, and the increase of the fielde, that ye shall beare no more the reproch of famine among the heathen.

³⁵ For they sayd, This waste land was like the garden of Eden, and these waste and desolate and ruinous cities were strong, and were inhabited.

⁵ I wil heale their rebellion: I wil loue them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. ⁶ I will be as the dewe vnto Israel: he shall grow as the lilie and fasten his rootes, as the trees of Lebanon. ⁷ His branches shall spread, and his beautie shalbe as the oliue tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

¹⁸ How did the beasts mourne! the herdes of cattel pine away, because they haue no pasture, and the flockes of sheepe are destroyed. ¹⁹ O Lord, to thee will I crie: for the fire hath deuoured the pastures of the wildernesse, and the flame hath burnt vp all the trees of the fielde. ²⁰ The beasts of the fielde cry also vnto thee: for the riuers of waters are dried vp, and the fire hath deuoured the pastures of the wildernes.

¹⁴ And I will bring againe the captiuitie of my people of Israel: and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabite the, and they shall plant vineyardes, and drinke the wine thereof: they shall also make gardens, and eate the fruites of them. ¹⁵ And I wil plant them vpon their land, and they shall no more bee pulled vp againe out of their lande, which I haue giuen them, sayeth the Lord thy God.

¹¹ And shoulde not I spare Nineueh that great citie, wherein are sixe score thousande persons, that cannot discerne betweene their right hand, and their left hand, and also much cattell?

¹⁶ And nowe, I pray you, consider in your mindes: from this day, and afore, euen afore a stone was layde vpon a stone in the Temple of the Lord:

¹² For the seede shall be prosperous: the vine shall giue her fruite, and the ground shall giue her increase, and the heauens shall giue their dewe, and I will cause the remnant of this people to possesse all these things.

¹⁰ Bring ye all the tythes into the storehouse that there may be meate in mine House, and proue me nowe herewith, sayeth the Lord of hostes, if I will not open the windowes of heauen vnto you, and powre you out a blessing without measure. ¹¹ And I will rebuke the deuourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruite of your grounde, neither shall your vine be baren in the fielde, sayeth the Lord of hostes. ¹² And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a pleasant lande, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

⁷ So then, neither is hee that planteth any thing, neither hee that watreth, but God that giueth the increase.
