⁵ My flesh is clothed with wormes and filthinesse of the dust: my skinne is rent, and become horrible.

⁷ So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord, and smote Iob with sore boyles, from the sole of his foote vnto his crowne. ⁸ And he tooke a potsharde to scrape him, and he sate downe among the ashes.

³¹ Yet shalt thou plunge mee in the pit, and mine owne clothes shall make me filthie.

¹⁴ I shall say to corruption, Thou art my father, and to the worme, Thou art my mother and my sister.

²⁶ And though after my skin wormes destroy this bodie, yet shall I see God in my flesh.

²⁰ The pitifull man shall forget him: the worme shall feele his sweetenes: he shalbe no more remembered, and the wicked shalbe broke like a tree.

¹⁸ For the great vehemencie is my garment changed, which compasseth me about as the colar of my coate. ¹⁹ He hath cast me into the myre, and I am become like ashes and dust.

⁵ My woundes are putrified, and corrupt because of my foolishnes. ⁶ I am bowed, and crooked very sore: I goe mourning all the day. ⁷ For my reines are full of burning, and there is nothing sound in my flesh.

⁶ From the sole of the foote vnto the head, there is nothing whole therein, but wounds, and swelling, and sores full of corruption: they haue not bene wrapped, nor bound vp, nor mollified with oyle.

¹¹ Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee.

²⁴ And they shall goe forth, and looke vpon the carkases of the men that haue transgressed against me: for their worme shall not dye, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shalbe an abhorring vnto all flesh.

⁴³ And there shall ye remember your wayes, and all your workes, wherein ye haue bene defiled, and ye shall iudge your selues worthy to be cut off, for all your euils, that ye haue committed.

²³ But immediatly the Angel of the Lord smote him, because he gaue not glorie vnto God, so that he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the ghost.
