²⁷ When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,

⁵ And euery plant of the fielde, before it was in the earth, and euery herbe of the field, before it grewe: for the Lord God had not caused it to raine vpon the earth, neither was there a man to till the ground, ⁶ But a myst went vp from the earth, and watered all the earth.

⁹ Which doeth great things and vnsearchable, and marueilous things without nomber.

³³ His companion sheweth him thereof, and there is anger in rising vp.

²⁵ Who hath deuided the spowtes for the raine? or the way for the lightning of ye thunders, ²⁶ To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man? ²⁷ To fulfil the wilde and waste place, and to cause the bud of the herbe to spring forth? ²⁸ Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the dewe?

³⁴ Canst thou lift vp thy voice to the cloudes that the aboundance of water may couer thee?

⁹ Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou makest it very riche: the Riuer of God is full of water: thou preparest them corne: for so thou appointest it. ¹⁰ Thou waterest abundantly the furrowes thereof: thou causest the raine to descende into the valleies thereof: thou makest it soft with showres, and blessest the bud thereof. ¹¹ Thou crownest ye yeere with thy goodnesse, and thy steppes droppe fatnesse. ¹² They drop vpon the pastures of the wildernesse: and the hils shalbe compassed with gladnes. ¹³ The pastures are clad with sheepe: the valleis also shalbe couered with corne: therefore they shoute for ioye, and sing.

⁸ Which couereth the heauen with cloudes, and prepareth raine for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaines:

⁸ Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

⁶ And I will laye it waste: it shall not be cut, nor digged, but briers, and thornes shall growe vp: I will also commande the cloudes that they raine no raine vpon it.

²² Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles, that can giue raine? or can the heauens giue showres? is it not thou, O Lord our God? therefore we will waite vpon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
