²¹ He powreth contempt vpon princes, and maketh the strength of the mightie weake.

² And if thou wilt not let them goe, beholde, I will smite all thy countrey with frogges:

²⁴ And they laied it vp till the morning, as Moses bade, and it stanke not, neyther was there any worme therein.

²³ And also of Iezebel spake the Lord, saying, The dogs shall eate Iezebel, by the wall of Izreel. ²⁴ The dogs shall eate him of Ahabs stocke, that dyeth in the citie: and him that dyeth in the fieldes, shall the foules of the ayre eate.

²⁶ Surely I haue seene yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sonnes, saide the Lord, and I will render it thee in this fielde, saith the Lord: nowe therefore take and cast him in the fielde, according to the word of the Lord.

And he said, This is the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruant Eliiah the Tishbite, saying, In the fielde of Izreel shall ye dogs eate the flesh of Iezebel. ³⁷ And the carkeis of Iezebel shalbe as doung vpon the ground in the field of Izreel, so that none shall say, This is Iezebel.

⁴⁰ He powreth contempt vpon princes, and causeth them to erre in desert places out of the way.

²⁷ None shall faint nor fall among them: none shall slumber nor sleepe, neither shall the girdle of his loynes be loosed, nor the latchet of his shooes be broken:

⁵ And iustice shall be ye girdle of his loynes, and faithfulnesse the girdle of his reines.

²¹ And with thy garments will I clothe him, and with thy girdle will I strengthen him: thy power also will I commit into his hande, and hee shalbe a father of the inhabitats of Ierusalem, and of the house of Iudah.

⁹ The Lord of hostes hath decreed this, to staine the pride of all glorie, and to bring to contempt all them that be glorious in the earth.

²¹ And in that day shall the Lord visite the hoste aboue that is on hie, euen the Kinges of the world that are vpon the earth. ²² And they shall be gathered together, as the prisoners in the pit: and they shall be shut vp in the prison, and after many daies shall they be visited.

³⁸ And as he was in the temple worshipping of Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat: and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.

²¹ And hee changeth the times and seasons: he taketh away kings: he setteth vp kings: he giueth wisedome vnto the wise, and vnderstanding to those that vnderstand. ²² Hee discouereth the deepe and secrete things: he knoweth what is in darkenes, and the light dwelleth with him.

³² And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and according to his will he worketh in the armie of heauen, and in the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, nor say vnto him, What doest thou? ³³ At the same time was mine vnderstanding restored vnto me, and I returned to the honour of my kingdome: my glory and my beautie was restored vnto me, and my counsellours and my princes sought vnto me, and I was established in my kingdome, and my glory was augmented toward me.

¹² And after they were warned of God in a dreame, that they should not go againe to Herod, they returned into their countrey another way. ¹³ After their departure, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeareth to Ioseph in a dreame, saying, Arise, and take the babe and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there til I bring thee word: for Herod will seeke the babe, to destroy him.

²³ But immediatly the Angel of the Lord smote him, because he gaue not glorie vnto God, so that he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the ghost.

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
