¹³ With him is wisedome and strength: he hath counsell and vnderstanding.

⁴ He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath bene fierce against him and hath prospered?

⁶ That he might shewe thee the secretes of wisedome, howe thou hast deserued double, according to right: know therefore that God hath forgotten thee for thine iniquitie.

¹⁶ With him is strength and wisedome: hee that is deceiued, and that deceiueth, are his.

²⁰ Whence then commeth wisedome? and where is the place of vnderstanding, ²¹ Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all the liuing, and is hid from the foules of the heauen? ²² Destruction and death say, We haue heard the fame thereof with our eares. ²³ But God vnderstandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. ²⁴ For he beholdeth the endes of the world, and seeth all that is vnder heauen, ²⁵ To make the weight of the windes, and to weigh the waters by measure. ²⁶ When he made a decree for the rayne, and a way for the lightening of the thunders, ²⁷ Then did he see it, and counted it: he prepared it and also considered it. ²⁸ And vnto man he said, Behold, the feare of the Lord is wisedome, and to depart from euil is vnderstanding.

⁶ Therefore Elihu the sonne of Barachel, the Buzite answered, and sayd, I am yong in yeres, and ye are ancient: therefore I doubted, and was afraide to shewe you mine opinion. ⁷ For I said, The dayes shall speake, and the multitude of yeeres shall teach wisedome. ⁸ Surely there is a spirite in man, but the inspiration of the Almightie giueth vnderstanding. ⁹ Great men are not alway wise, neither doe the aged alway vnderstand iudgement.

⁵ Behold, the mighty God casteth away none that is mighty and valiant of courage.

³⁶ Who hath put wisedome in the reines? or who hath giuen the heart vnderstanding?

⁵ Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdome is infinite.

⁶ For the Lord giueth wisdome, out of his mouth commeth knowledge and vnderstanding. ⁷ He preserueth the state of the righteous: he is a shielde to them that walke vprightly,

¹⁴ I haue counsell and wisedome: I am vnderstanding, and I haue strength.

¹³ Who hath instructed ye Spirit of the Lord? or was his counseler or taught him? ¹⁴ Of whom tooke he counsell, and who instructed him and taught him in the way of iudgement? or taught him knowledge, and shewed vnto him the way of vnderstanding?

¹⁰ Which declare the last thing from the beginning: and from of olde, the things that were not done, saying, My counsell shall stand, and I will doe whatsoeuer I will.

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, and established the worlde by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.

²⁰ And Daniel answered and sayde, The Name of God be praysed for euer and euer: for wisedome and strength are his,

¹⁵ For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.

³⁴ For who hath knowen the minde of the Lord? or who was his counsellour?

²⁴ But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God.

⁸ Whereby he hath bene aboundant toward vs in all wisedome and vnderstanding,

¹¹ In whom also we are chosen when we were predestinate according to ye purpose of him, which worketh all things after the counsell of his owne will,

³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisedome and knowledge.

⁵ If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, which giueth to all men liberally, and reprocheth no man, and it shalbe giuen him.
