¹⁵ He hath made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.

¹ In the beginning God created the heauen and the earth. ² And the earth was without forme and void, and darkenesse was vpon the deepe, and the Spirit of God mooued vpon the waters. ³ Then God said, Let there be light: And there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated the light from the darkenes. ⁵ And God called the Light, Day, and the darkenes, he called Night. So the euening and the morning were the first day. ⁶ Againe God said, Let there be a firmament in the mids of the waters: and let it separate the waters from the waters.

⁸ Hee himselfe alone spreadeth out the heauens, and walketh vpon the height of the sea.

² Which couereth himselfe with light as with a garment, and spreadeth the heauens like a curtaine.

²⁴ O Lord, howe manifolde are thy workes! in wisdome hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

²⁵ For he commaundeth and raiseth the stormie winde, and it lifteth vp the waues thereof.

⁵ Which by his wisedome made the heauens: for his mercie endureth for euer:

⁵ Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God. ⁶ Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:

¹ Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places. ² Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie. ³ Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres. ⁴ Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens. ⁵ Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

¹⁹ The Lord by wisdome hath layde the foundation of the earth, and hath stablished the heauens through vnderstanding.

²² He sitteth vpon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grashoppers, hee stretcheth out ye heauens, as a curtaine, and spreadeth them out, as a tent to dwell in.

²⁶ Lift vp your eyes on hie, and beholde who hath created these things, and bringeth out their armies by nomber, and calleth them all by names? by the greatnesse of his power and mightie strength nothing faileth.

⁵ Thus sayeth God the Lord (he that created the heauens and spred them abroad: he that stretched foorth the earth, and the buddes thereof: he that giueth breath vnto the people vpon it, and spirit to them that walke therein)

²⁴ Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.

¹² I haue made the earth, and created man vpon it: I, whose hands haue spred out the heauens, I haue euen commanded all their armie.

¹³ Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.

¹³ And forgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath spred out the heauens, and layde the foundations of the earth? and hast feared continually all the day, because of the rage of the oppressour, which is readie to destroy? Where is now the rage of the oppressour?

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, and established the worlde by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion. ¹³ Hee giueth by his voyce the multitude of waters in the heauen, and he causeth the cloudes to ascend from the endes of the earth: he turneth lightnings to rayne, and bringeth forth the winde out of his treasures. ¹⁴ Euery man is a beast by his owne knowledge: euery founder is confounded by the grauen image: for his melting is but falsehood, and there is no breath therein. ¹⁵ They are vanitie, and the worke of errours: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. ¹⁶ The portion of Iaakob is not like them: for he is the maker of all things, and Israel is the rodde of his inheritance: the Lord of hostes is his Name.

¹⁷ Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.

¹⁵ And saying, O men, why doe yee these things? We are euen men subiect to the like passions that yee be, and preache vnto you, that yee shoulde turne from these vaine things vnto the liuing God, which made heauen and earth, and the sea, and all things that in them are:

²⁴ God that made the world, and all things that are therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaue and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands,

²⁰ For the inuisible things of him, that is, his eternal power and Godhead, are seene by ye creation of the worlde, being considered in his workes, to the intent that they should be without excuse:

³³ O the deepenesse of the riches, both of the wisdome, and knowledge of God! howe vnsearcheable are his iudgements, and his wayes past finding out!

¹⁶ For by him were all things created, which are in heauen, and which are in earth, thinges visible and inuisible: whether they be Thrones or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all things were created by him, and for him, ¹⁷ And hee is before all things, and in him all things consist.

² Whom he hath made heire of al things, by whome also he made the worldes, ³ Who being the brightnes of the glory, and the ingraued forme of his person, and bearing vp all things by his mightie worde, hath by himselfe purged our sinnes, and sitteth at the right hand of the Maiestie in the highest places,

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receiue glory and honour, and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy wils sake they are, and haue beene created.
