¹⁹ But I was like a lambe, or a bullocke, that is brought to the slaughter, and I knewe not that they had deuised thus against me, saying, Let vs destroy the tree with the fruite thereof, and cut him out of the lande of the liuing, that his name may be no more in memory.

¹⁴ Of Gad, Eliasaph, the sonne of Deuel:

¹³ Man knoweth not the price thereof: for it is not found in the land of the liuing.

¹³ I should haue fainted, except I had beleeued to see the goodnes of the Lord in the land of the liuing.

¹³ For I haue heard the rayling of great men: feare was on euery side, while they conspired together against mee, and consulted to take my life.

¹⁵ But in mine aduersitie they reioyced, and gathered them selues together: the abiects assembled themselues against me, and knewe not: they tare me and ceased not,

³² The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. ³³ But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.

⁵ So shall God destroy thee for euer: he shall take thee and plucke thee out of thy tabernacle, and roote thee out of ye land of the liuing. Selah.

⁴ They haue said, Come and let vs cut them off from being a nation: and let the name of Israel be no more in remembrance.

¹³ Let his posteritie be destroied, and in the generation following let their name be put out.

⁶ Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

⁹ I shall walke before the Lord in the lande of the liuing.

⁵ Then cryed I vnto thee, O Lord, and sayde, thou art mine hope, and my portion in the land of the liuing.

²² And he followed her straight wayes, as an oxe that goeth to the slaughter, and as a foole to the stockes for correction,

⁷ The memoriall of the iust shalbe blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rotte.

⁷ For the weapons of the churle are wicked: hee deuiseth wicked counsels, to vndoe the poore with lying words: and to speake against the poore in iudgement.

¹¹ I said, I shall not see the Lord, euen the Lord in the land of the liuing: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world.

⁷ Hee was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did he not open his mouth: hee is brought as a sheepe to the slaughter, and as a sheepe before her shearer is dumme, so he openeth not his mouth. ⁸ Hee was taken out from prison, and from iudgement: and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.

¹⁸ Then sayde they, Come, and let vs imagine some deuice against Ieremiah: for the Lawe shall not perish from the Priest, nor counsell from the wise, nor the worde from the Prophet: come, and let vs smite him with the tongue, and let vs not giue heede to any of his words.

¹⁰ For I had heard the railing of many, and feare on euery side. Declare, said they, and wee wil declare it: all my familiars watched for mine halting, saying, It may be that he is deceiued: so we shall preuaile against him, and we shall execute our vengeance vpon him.

²⁶ And after threescore and two weekes, shall Messiah be slaine, and shall haue nothing,, and the people of the prince that shall come, shall destroy the citie and the Sanctuarie, and the end thereof shalbe with a flood: and vnto the end of the battell it shalbe destroyed by desolations.

³ Then assembled together the chiefe Priests, and the Scribes, and the Elders of ye people into the hall of the high Priest called Caiaphas: ⁴ And consulted together that they might take Iesus by subtiltie, and kill him.

¹⁰ And at the time conuenient he sent a seruant to the husbandmen, that they should giue him of the fruite of the vineyard: but the husbandmen did beate him, and sent him away emptie. ¹¹ Againe he sent yet another seruant: and they did beate him, and foule entreated him, and sent him away emptie. ¹² Moreouer he sent the third, and him they wounded, and cast out. ¹³ Then sayd the Lord of the vineyard, What shall I doe? I will send my beloued sonne: it may be that they will doe reuerence, when they see him. ¹⁴ But when the husbandmen sawe him, they reasoned with themselues, saying, This is the heire: come, let vs kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. ¹⁵ So they cast him out of the vineyarde, and killed him. What shall the Lord of the vineyarde therefore doe vnto them?
