² Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.

²⁶ And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

¹³ If yee shall hearken therefore vnto my commandements, which I commaund you this day, that yee loue the Lord your God and serue him with all your heart, and with all your soule,

²⁶ The poore shall eate and be satisfied: they that seeke after the Lord, shall prayse him: your heart shall liue for euer.

¹¹ Come children, hearken vnto me: I will teache you the feare of the Lord.

⁸ They shall be satisfied with the fatnesse of thine house, and thou shalt giue them drinke out of the riuer of thy pleasures.

⁵ My soule shalbe satisfied, as with marowe and fatnesse, and my mouth shall praise thee with ioyfull lippes,

³³ But he that obeyeth me, shall dwell safely, and be quiet from feare of euill.

²³ Till a dart strike through his liuer, as a bird hasteth to the snare, not knowing that he is in danger.

³² Therefore nowe hearken, O children, vnto me: for blessed are they that keepe my wayes.

⁵ Come, and eate of my meate, and drinke of the wine that I haue drawen.

² A man to whom God hath giuen riches and treasures and honour, and he wanteth nothing for his soule of all that it desireth: but God giueth him not power to eate thereof, but a strange man shall eate it vp: this is vanitie, and this is an euill sicknesse.

¹⁹ If ye consent and obey, ye shall eate the good things of the land.

⁶ And in this mountaine shall the Lord of hostes make vnto all people a feast of fat thinges, euen a feast of fined wines, and of fat thinges full of marow, of wines fined and purified.

²⁰ He feedeth of ashes: a seduced heart hath deceiued him, that he cannot deliuer his soule, nor say, Is there not a lye in my right hand?

⁶ They draw gold out of the bagge and weigh siluer in the balance, and hire a goldsmith to make a god of it, and they bowe downe, and worship it.

¹ Heare me, ye that follow after righteousnes, and ye that seeke the Lord: looke vnto the rocke, whence ye are hewen, and to the hole of the pit, whence ye are digged.

⁴ Hearken ye vnto me, my people, and giue eare vnto me, O my people: for a Law shall proceede from me, and I will bring foorth my iudgement for the light of the people.

⁷ Hearken vnto me, ye that know righteousnesse, the people in whose heart is my Lawe. Feare ye not the reproche of men, neither be ye afraide of their rebukes.

¹³ For my people haue committed two euils: they haue forsaken mee the fountaine of liuing waters, to digge them pittes, euen broken pittes, that can holde no water.

¹⁴ And I wil replenish the soule of the Priests with fatnesse, and my people shalbe satisfied with my goodnesse, saith the Lord.

⁷ For they haue sowne the winde, and they shall reape the whirlewind: it hath no stalke: the budde shall bring foorth no meale: if so be it bring forth, the strangers shall deuoure it.

¹ Ephraim is fed with the winde, and followeth after the East winde: hee increaseth daily lies and destruction, and they do make a couenant with Asshur, and oyle is caried into Egypt.

¹³ Beholde, is it not of the Lord of hostes that the people shall labour in ye very fire? the people shall euen weary themselues for very vanitie.

⁹ But in vaine they worship me, teaching for doctrines, mens precepts.

⁴ Againe hee sent foorth other seruants, saying. Tell them which are bidden, Beholde, I haue prepared my dinner: mine oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all thinges are readie: come vnto the mariage.

¹⁴ Then he called the whole multitude vnto him, and sayd vnto them, Hearken you all vnto me, and vnderstand.

¹⁵ Then hee went and claue to a citizen of that conntrey, and hee sent him to his farme, to feede swine. ¹⁶ And hee would faine haue filled his bellie with the huskes, that the swine ate: but no man gaue them him.

²³ And bring the fat calfe, and kill him, and let vs eate, and be merie:

⁴⁸ I am that bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers did eate Manna in the wildernesse, and are dead. ⁵⁰ This is that breade, which commeth downe from heauen, that hee which eateth of it, shoulde not die. ⁵¹ I am that liuing breade, which came downe from heauen: if any man eate of this breade, hee shall liue for euer: and the bread that I will giue, is my flesh, which I will giue for the life of the world. ⁵² Then the Iewes stroue among themselues, saying, Howe can this man giue vs his flesh to eate? ⁵³ Then Iesus saide vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Except yee eate the flesh of the Sonne of man, and drinke his blood, yee haue no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whosoeuer eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternall life, and I will raise him vp at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat in deede, and my blood is drinke in deede. ⁵⁶ Hee that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As that liuing Father hath sent me, so liue I by the Father, and he that eateth me, euen he shall liue by me. ⁵⁸ This is that bread which came downe from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna, and are deade. Hee that eateth of this bread, shall liue for euer.

³¹ But Israel which followed the Lawe of righteousnes, could not arteine vnto the Law of righteousnes.

² For I beare them record, that they haue the zeale of God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For they, being ignorant of the righteousnes of God, and going about to stablish their owne righteousnes, haue not submitted themselues to the righteousnes of God.

¹⁷ Then faith is by hearing, and hearing by the worde of God.

⁴ Though I might also haue confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, much more I, ⁵ Circumcised the eight day, of the kinred of Israel, of the tribe of Beniamin, an Ebrewe of the Ebrewes, by the Lawe a Pharise. ⁶ Concerning zeale, I persecuted ye Church: touching the righteousnesse which is in the Law, I was vnrebukeable. ⁷ But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake.

⁹ Be not caried about with diuers and strange doctrines: for it is a good thing that the heart be stablished with grace, and not with meates, which haue not profited them that haue bene occupied therein.
