⁵ Thus sayeth God the Lord (he that created the heauens and spred them abroad: he that stretched foorth the earth, and the buddes thereof: he that giueth breath vnto the people vpon it, and spirit to them that walke therein)

¹⁰ And God called the dry land, Earth, and he called the gathering together of the waters, Seas: and God saw that it was good. ¹¹ Then God said, Let the earth bud forth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seed, the fruitfull tree, which beareth fruite according to his kinde, which hath his seede in it selfe vpon the earth: and it was so. ¹² And the earth brought foorth the bud of the herbe, that seedeth seede according to his kind, also the tree that beareth fruit, which hath his seed in it selfe according to his kinde: and God saw that it was good.

²⁴ Moreouer God said, Let the earth bring foorth the liuing thing according to his kinde, cattel, and that which creepeth, and the beast of the earth, according to his kinde. and it was so. ²⁵ And God made the beast of the earth according to his kinde, and the cattell according to his kinde, and euery creeping thing of the earth according to his kind: and God saw that it was good.

⁷ The Lord God also made the man of the dust of the grounde, and breathed in his face breath of life, and the man was a liuing soule.

¹⁰ In whose hande is the soule of euery liuing thing, and the breath of all mankinde.

³ Yet so long as my breath is in me, and the Spirit of God in my nostrels,

⁴ The Spirite of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almightie hath giuen me life.

¹⁴ If he set his heart vpon man, and gather vnto him selfe his spirit and his breath,

¹ A Psalme of David. The earth is the Lordes, and all that therein is: the worlde and they that dwell therein. ² For he hath founded it vpon the seas: and established it vpon the floods.

⁶ By the worde of the Lord were the heauens made, and all the hoste of them by the breath of his mouth.

²⁵ Thou hast aforetime layde the foundation of the earth, and the heauens are the worke of thine hands. ²⁶ They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: euen they all shall waxe olde as doeth a garment: as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed.

² Which couereth himselfe with light as with a garment, and spreadeth the heauens like a curtaine. ³ Which layeth the beames of his chambers in the waters, and maketh the cloudes his chariot, and walketh vpon the wings of the winde. ⁴ Which maketh his spirits his messengers, and a flaming fire his ministers. ⁵ He set the earth vpon her foundations, so that it shall neuer moue. ⁶ Thou coueredst it with the deepe as with a garment: the waters woulde stand aboue the mountaines. ⁷ But at thy rebuke they flee: at the voyce of thy thunder they haste away. ⁸ And the mountaines ascend, and the valleis descend to the place which thou hast established for them. ⁹ But thou hast set them a bounde, which they shall not passe: they shall not returne to couer the earth. ¹⁰ He sendeth the springs into the valleis, which runne betweene the mountaines. ¹¹ They shall giue drinke to all the beasts of the fielde, and the wilde asses shall quench their thirst. ¹² By these springs shall the foules of the heauen dwell, and sing among the branches. ¹³ He watereth the mountaines from his chambers, and the earth is filled with the fruite of thy workes. ¹⁴ He causeth grasse to growe for the cattell, and herbe for the vse of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth, ¹⁵ And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oyle to make the face to shine, and bread that strengtheneth mans heart. ¹⁶ The high trees are satisfied, euen the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted, ¹⁷ That ye birdes may make their nestes there: the storke dwelleth in the firre trees. ¹⁸ The high mountaines are for the goates: the rockes are a refuge for the conies. ¹⁹ He appoynted the moone for certaine seasons: the sunne knoweth his going downe. ²⁰ Thou makest darkenesse, and it is night, wherein all the beastes of the forest creepe forth. ²¹ The lions roare after their praye, and seeke their meate at God. ²² When the sunne riseth, they retire, and couche in their dennes. ²³ Then goeth man forth to his worke, and to his labour vntill the euening. ²⁴ O Lord, howe manifolde are thy workes! in wisdome hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. ²⁵ So is this sea great and wide: for therein are things creeping innumerable, both small beastes and great. ²⁶ There goe the shippes, yea, that Liuiathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. ²⁷ All these waite vpon thee, that thou maiest giue them foode in due season. ²⁸ Thou giuest it to them, and they gather it: thou openest thine hand, and they are filled with good things. ²⁹ But if thou hide thy face, they are troubled: if thou take away their breath, they dye and returne to their dust. ³⁰ Againe if thou send forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renuest the face of the earth. ³¹ Glory be to the Lord for euer: let the Lord reioyce in his workes. ³² He looketh on the earth and it trembleth: he toucheth the mountaines, and they smoke. ³³ I will sing vnto the Lord all my life: I will prayse my God, while I liue. ³⁴ Let my wordes be acceptable vnto him: I will reioyce in the Lord. ³⁵ Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and the wicked till there be no more: O my soule, prayse thou the Lord. Prayse ye the Lord.

⁶ Which hath stretched out the earth vpon the waters: for his mercie endureth for euer:

¹² Who hath measured the waters in his fist? and counted heauen with the spanne, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure? and weighed ye mountaines in a weight, and the hilles in a balance?

²² He sitteth vpon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grashoppers, hee stretcheth out ye heauens, as a curtaine, and spreadeth them out, as a tent to dwell in.

²⁸ Knowest thou not? or hast thou not heard, that the euerlasting God, the Lord hath created the endes of the earth? he neither fainteth, nor is wearie: there is no searching of his vnderstanding.

²⁴ Thus sayeth the Lord thy redeemer and he that formed thee from the wombe, I am the Lord, that made all things, that spred out the heauens alone, and stretched out the earth by my selfe.

¹² I haue made the earth, and created man vpon it: I, whose hands haue spred out the heauens, I haue euen commanded all their armie.

¹⁸ For thus saith the Lord (that created heauen, God himselfe, that formed the earth, and made it: he that prepared it, he created it not in vaine: he formed it to be inhabited) I am the Lord, and there is none other.

¹³ Surely mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heaues: when I cal them, they stand vp together.

¹² He hath made the earth by his power, and established the worlde by his wisedome, and hath stretched out the heauen by his discretion.

¹⁷ Ah Lord God, beholde, thou hast made the heauen and the earth by thy great power, and by thy stretched out arme, and there is nothing hard vnto thee.

²³ But hast lift thy selfe vp against the Lord of heauen, and they haue brought the vessels of his House before thee, and thou and thy princes, thy wiues and thy concubines haue drunke wine in them, and thou hast praysed the gods of siluer and golde, of brasse, yron, wood and stone, which neither see, neither heare, nor vnderstand: and the God in whose hand thy breath is and all thy wayes, him hast thou not glorified.

⁶ He buildeth his spheres in the heauen, and hath laide the foundation of his globe of elements in the earth: hee calleth the waters of the sea, and powreth them out vpon the open earth: the Lord is his Name.

¹ The burden of the worde of the Lord vpon Israel, sayth the Lord, which spred the heauens, and layed the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirite of man within him.

²⁵ Neither is worshipped with mens handes, as though he needed any thing, seeing hee giueth to all life and breath and all things,

² Whom he hath made heire of al things, by whome also he made the worldes,

¹⁰ And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast established the earth, and the heauens are the workes of thine handes. ¹¹ They shall perish, but thou doest remaine: and they all shall waxe olde as doeth a garment. ¹² And as a vesture shalt thou folde them vp, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy yeeres shall not faile.
