¹⁹ Which hope we haue, as an ancre of the soule, both sure and stedfast, and it entreth into that which is within the vaile,

² And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Speake vnto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the Holy place within the vayle, before the Merciseate, which is vpon the Arke, that he dye not: for I wil appeare in the cloude vpon the Merciseate.

¹⁵ Then shall he kill the goate that is the peoples sinne offring, and bring his blood within the vaile, and doe with that blood, as he did with the blood of the bullocke, and sprinckle it vpon the Merciseate, and before the Merciseate.

⁵ Why art thou cast downe, my soule, and vnquiet within me? waite on God: for I will yet giue him thankes for the helpe of his presence.

⁵ Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God. ⁶ Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:

² Beholde, God is my saluation: I will trust, and will not feare: for ye Lord God is my strength and song: he also is become my saluation.

³ Therefore shall the mightie people giue glory vnto thee: the citie of the strong nations shall feare thee. ⁴ For thou hast bene a strength vnto the poore, euen a strength to the needie in his trouble, a refuge against the tempest, a shadow against the heate: for the blaste of the mightie is like a storme against the wall.

¹⁶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will laye in Zion a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. Hee that beleeueth, shall not make haste.

⁷ Blessed be the man, that trusteth in ye Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. ⁸ For he shall be as a tree that is planted by the water, which spreadeth out her rootes by the riuer, and shall not feele when the heate commeth, but her leafe shall be greene, and shall not care for the yeere of drought, neyther shall cease from yeelding fruit.

⁵¹ And behold, the vayle of the Temple was rent in twaine, from the top to the bottome, and the earth did quake, and the stones were cloue.

²⁹ Then fearing least they should haue fallen into some rough places, they cast foure ancres out of the sterne, and wished that the day were come.

⁴⁰ So when they had taken vp the ankers, they committed the ship vnto the sea, and loosed the rudder bonds, and hoised vp the maine saile to the winde, and drewe to the shore.

¹⁶ Therefore it is by faith, that it might come by grace, and the promise might be sure to all the seede, not to that onely which is of the Lawe: but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of vs all,

⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the loue of God is shed abroade in our heartes by the holy Ghost, which is giuen vnto vs. ⁶ For Christ, when we were yet of no strength, at his time died for the vngodly. ⁷ Doutles one will scarce die for a righteous man: but yet for a good man it may be that one dare die. ⁸ But God setteth out his loue towards vs, seeing that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for vs. ⁹ Much more then, being now iustified by his blood, we shalbe saued from wrath through him. ¹⁰ For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Sonne, much more being reconciled, we shalbe saued by his life,

²⁸ Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose. ²⁹ For those which hee knewe before, he also predestinate to bee made like to the image of his Sonne, that hee might be the first borne among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreouer whom he predestinate, them also he called, and whom he called, them also he iustified, and whom he iustified, them he also glorified. ³¹ What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs? ³² Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, ³⁴ Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs. ³⁵ Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake are we killed all day long: we are counted as sheepe for the slaughter. ³⁷ Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs. ³⁸ For I am perswaded that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesus our Lord.

⁵⁸ Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

⁶ And hath raysed vs vp together, and made vs sit together in the heauenly places in Christ Iesus,

¹ If yee then bee risen with Christ, seeke those thinges which are aboue, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God.

¹⁹ But the foundation of God remaineth sure, and hath this seale, The Lord knoweth who are his: and, Let euery one that calleth on the Name of Christ, depart from iniquitie.

¹⁶ Let vs therefore goe boldly vnto ye throne of grace, that we may receiue mercy, and finde grace to helpe in time of neede.

³ And after the seconde vaile was the Tabernacle, which is called the Holiest of all,

⁷ But into the second went the hie Priest alone, once euery yere, not without blood which hee offered for himselfe, and for the ignorances of the people.

²⁰ By the newe and liuing way, which hee hath prepared for vs, through the vaile, that is, his flesh: ²¹ And seeing we haue an hie Priest, which is ouer the house of God,
