²⁶ And he saide, Let me goe, for the morning appeareth. Who answered, I will not let thee go except thou blesse me.

¹⁰ Nowe therefore let mee alone, that my wrath may waxe hote against them, for I wil consume the: but I wil make of thee a mighty people.

¹⁴ Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and put out their name from vnder heaue, and I wil make of thee a mightie nation, and greater then they be.

¹⁰ And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.

¹ To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme or song. God be mercifull vnto vs, and blesse vs, and cause his face to shine among vs. Selah.

⁶ Then shall the earth bring foorth her increase, and God, euen our God shall blesse vs. ⁷ God shall blesse vs, and all the endes of the earth shall feare him.

¹² The Lord hath bene mindfull of vs: he will blesse, he will blesse the house of Israel, he will blesse the house of Aaron. ¹³ He will blesse them that feare the Lord, both small and great.

⁴ When I had past a litle from them, then I found him whom my soule loued: I tooke holde on him and left him not, till I had brought him vnto my mothers house into the chamber of her that conceiued me.

⁵ Thine head vpon thee is as skarlet, and the bush of thine head like purple: the King is tyed in the rafters.

¹¹ Thus saith the Lord, the holy one of Israel, and his maker, Aske me of things to come concerning my sonnes, and concerning the workes of mine hands: commande you me.

⁷ And there is none that calleth vpon thy Name, neither that stirreth vp himselfe to take holde of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from vs, and hast consumed vs because of our iniquities.

⁴ And had power ouer the Angel, and preuailed: he wept and praied vnto him: he founde him in Beth-el, and there he spake with vs.

¹ And he spake also a parable vnto them, to this ende, that they ought alwayes to pray, and not to waxe faint, ² Saying, There was a iudge in a certaine citie, which feared not God, neither reuereced man. ³ And there was a widowe in that citie, which came vnto him, saying, Doe mee iustice against mine aduersarie. ⁴ And hee would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himselfe, Though I feare not God, nor reuerence man, ⁵ Yet because this widowe troubleth mee, I will doe her right, lest at the last shee come and make me wearie. ⁶ And the Lord said, Heare what the vnrighteous iudge saith. ⁷ Now shall not God auenge his elect, which cry day and night vnto him, yea, though he suffer long for them?

²⁸ And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further. ²⁹ But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, and the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.

³⁷ Neuerthelesse, in all these thinges we are more then coquerours through him that loued vs.

⁵⁸ Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrise, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And he said vnto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect through weakenesse. Very gladly therefore will I reioyce rather in mine infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

⁷ Who in the dayes of his flesh did offer vp prayers and supplications, with strong crying and teares vnto him, that was able to saue him from death, and was also heard in that which he feared.
