¹⁵ Thou shalt not steale.

¹⁶ And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, if it be founde with him, shall die the death.

¹ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, ² If any sinne and commit a trespasse against the Lord, and denie vnto his neighbour that, which was take him to keepe, or that which was put to him of trust, or doth by robberie, or by violence oppresse his neighbour, ³ Or hath found that which was lost, and denieth it, and sweareth falsely, for any of these things that a man doeth, wherein he sinneth: ⁴ When, I say, he thus sinneth and trespasseth, he shall then restore the robbery that he robbed, or the thing taken by violence which hee tooke by force, or the thing which was deliuered him to keepe, or the lost thing which he founde, ⁵ Or for whatsoeuer he hath sworne falsely, he shall both restore it in the whole summe, and shall adde the fift parte more thereto, and giue it vnto him to whome perteyneth, the same day that he offreth for trespasse. ⁶ Also he shall bring for his trespasse vnto the Lord, a ramme without blemish out of the flocke in thy estimation worth two shekels for a trespasse offring vnto the Priest. ⁷ And the Priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord, and it shall be forgiuen him, whatsoeuer thing he hath done, and trespassed therein.

¹¹ Ye shall not steale, neither deale falsely, neither lie one to another.

¹³ Thou shalt not do thy neighbour wrong, neither rob him. The workemans hire shall not abide with thee vntil the morning.

³⁵ Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement, in line, in weight, or in measure. ³⁶ You shall haue iust ballances, true weightes, a true Ephah, and a true Hin. I am the Lord your God, which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt. ³⁷ Therefore shall ye obserue all mine ordinances, and all my iudgements, and doe them: I am the Lord.

⁷ If any man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh marchandise of him, or selleth him, that thiefe shall die: so shalt thou put euil away from among you.

¹³ Thou shalt not haue in thy bagge two maner of weightes, a great and a small, ¹⁴ Neither shalt thou haue in thine house diuers measures, a great and a small: ¹⁵ But thou shalt haue a right and iust weight: a perfite and a iust measure shalt thou haue, that thy dayes may be lengthened in the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee. ¹⁶ For all that doe such things, and all that doe vnrighteously, are abomination vnto the Lord thy God.

¹⁹ For he hath vndone many: he hath forsaken the poore, and hath spoyled houses which he builded not. ²⁰ Surely he shall feele no quietnes in his bodie, neither shall he reserue of that which he desired. ²¹ There shall none of his meate bee left: therefore none shall hope for his goods. ²² When he shalbe filled with his abundance, he shalbe in paine, and the hand of all the wicked shall assaile him.

¹³ We shall finde all precious riches, and fill our houses with spoyle: ¹⁴ Cast in thy lot among vs: we will all haue one purse: ¹⁵ My sonne, walke not thou in the way with them: refraine thy foote from their path.

¹ False balances are an abomination vnto the Lord: but a perfite weight pleaseth him.

¹⁰ For they knowe not to doe right, sayth the Lord: they store vp violence, and robbery in their palaces.

⁴ Heare this, O yee that swallowe vp the poore, that ye may make the needie of the lande to fayle, ⁵ Saying, When will the newe moneth bee gone, that we may sell corne? and the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheate, and make the Ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifie the weights by deceit? ⁶ That we may buy the poore for siluer, and the needie for shooes: yea, and sell the refuse of the wheate.

¹⁰ Are yet the treasures of wickednes in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure, that is abominable? ¹¹ Shall I iustifie the wicked balances, and the bag of deceitfull weightes?

³ To make good for the euil of their hands, the prince asked, and the iudge iudgeth for a reward: therefore the great man he speaketh out the corruption of his soule: so they wrapt it vp.

³ Then said he vnto me, This is the curse that goeth foorth ouer the whole earth: for euery one that stealeth, shalbe cut off aswell on this side, as on that: and euery one that sweareth, shall be cut off aswell on this side, as on that. ⁴ I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thiefe, and into the house of him, that falsely sweareth by my Name: and it shall remaine in the middes of his house, and shall consume it, with the timber thereof, and stones thereof.

¹⁹ For out of the heart come euil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, slaunders.

¹⁸ He sayd to him, Which? And Iesus sayde, These, Thou shalt not kill: Thou shalt not commit adulterie: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnesse.

¹³ And said to them, it is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer: but ye haue made it a denne of theeues.

¹³ And hee saide vnto them, Require no more then that which is appointed vnto you. ¹⁴ The souldiers likewise demaunded of him, saying, And what shall we doe? And he saide vnto them, Doe violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely, and be content with your wages.

⁶ Nowe he said this, not that he cared for the poore, but because hee was a theefe, and had the bagge, and bare that which was giuen.

⁹ For this, Thou shalt not commit adulterie, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steale, Thou shalt not beare false witnes, Thou shalt not couet: and if there be any other commandement, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, euen in this, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.

¹⁰ Nor theeues, nor couetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners shall inherite the kingdome of God.

²⁸ Let him that stole, steale no more: but let him rather labour, and worke with his handes the thing which is good, that hee may haue to giue vnto him that needeth.

⁶ That no man oppresse or defraude his brother in any matter: for the Lord is auenger of all such thinges, as we also haue tolde you before time, and testified.
