¹¹ Therefore did they set taskemasters ouer them, to keepe the vnder with burdens: and they built the cities Pithom and Raamses for the treasures of Pharaoh.

¹³ Then he saide to Abram, Knowe for a suretie, that thy seede shalbe a stranger in a land, that is not theirs, foure hundreth yeeres, and shall serue them: and they shall intreate them euill.

¹¹ And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

⁴ Then saide the King of Egypt vnto them, Moses and Aaron, why cause ye the people to cease from their workes? get you to your burdens. ⁵ Pharaoh saide furthermore, Behold, much people is nowe in the lande, and ye make them leaue their burdens. ⁶ Therefore Pharaoh gaue commandement the same day vnto the taskemasters of the people, and to their officers, saying,

¹⁵ Then the officers of the children of Israel came, and cryed vnto Pharaoh, saying, Wherfore dealest thou thus with thy seruants?

⁶ Wherefore say thou vnto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from the burdens of the Egyptians, and will deliuer you out of their bondage, and will redeeme you in a stretched out arme, and in great iudgements. ⁷ Also I will take you for my people, and will be your God: then ye shall knowe that I the Lord your God bring you out from the burdens of the Egyptians.

¹⁵ How our fathers went downe into Egypt, and we dwelt in Egypt a long time, where the Egyptians handled vs euill and our fathers.

⁶ And the Egyptians vexed vs, and troubled vs, and laded vs with cruell bondage.

¹⁹ And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)

⁴ And he built Tadmor in the wildernesse, and repayred all the cities of store which hee built in Hamath.

¹³ Though ye haue lien among pots, yet shall ye be as the winges of a doue that is couered with siluer, and whose fethers are like yelowe golde.

⁶ I haue withdrawen his shoulder from the burden, and his handes haue left the pots.

⁴ Anger is cruell, and wrath is raging: but who can stand before enuie?
