¹⁷ And the King loued Ester aboue all the women, and shee founde grace and fauour in his sight more then all the virgins: so that he set the crowne of the kingdome vpon her head, and made her Queene instead of Vashti.

⁸ He raiseth vp ye poore out of the dust, and lifteth vp the begger from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherite the seate of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the world vpon them.

¹¹ To bring Queene Vashti before the King with the crowne royall, that he might shewe the people and the princes her beautie: for shee was fayre to looke vpon.

¹⁴ For if thou holdest thy peace at this time, comfort and deliuerance shall appeare to the Iewes out of another place, but thou and thy fathers house shall perish: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdome for such a time?

⁶ For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South, ⁷ But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

⁷ He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung, ⁸ That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.

²⁴ And all the trees of the fielde shall knowe that I the Lord haue brought downe the hie tree, and exalted the lowe tree, that I haue dried vp the greene tree, and made the drie tree to florish: I the Lord haue spoken it, and haue done it.

⁴⁸ For hee hath looked on the poore degree of his seruaunt: for beholde, from henceforth shall all ages call me blessed, ⁴⁹ Because hee that is mightie, hath done for me great things, and holy is his Name. ⁵⁰ And his mercie is from generation to generation on them that feare him. ⁵¹ Hee hath shewed strength with his arme: hee hath scattered the proude in the imagination of their hearts. ⁵² Hee hath put downe the mighty from their seates, and exalted them of lowe degree.
