⁵ For Iohn in deede baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the holy Ghost within these fewe daies.

²⁸ And afterward will I powre out my Spirit vpon all flesh: and your sonnes and your daughters shall prophecie: your olde men shall dreame dreames, and your yong men shall see visions, ²⁹ And also vpon the seruants, and vpon the maydes in those dayes wil I powre my Spirit. ³⁰ And I will shewe wonders in the heauens and in the earth: blood and fire, and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come. ³² But whosoeuer shall call on the Name of the Lord, shalbe saued: for in mount Zion, and in Ierusale shalbe deliuerance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant, whom the Lord shall call.

¹⁸ And in that day shall the mountaines drop downe newe wine, and the hilles shall flowe with milke, and al the riuers of Iudah shall runne with waters, and a fountaine shall come forth of the House of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

¹¹ In deede I baptize you with water to amendment of life, but he that commeth after me, is mightier then I, whose shoes I am not worthie to beare: hee will baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.

⁸ Trueth it is, I haue baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the holy Ghost.

¹⁶ Iohn answered, and saide to them all, In deede I baptize you with water, but one stronger then I, commeth, whose shoes latchet I am not worthy to vnloose: hee will baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.

³¹ And I knewe him not: but because he should be declared to Israel, therefore am I come, baptizing with water.

¹ And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were al with one accord in one place. ² And suddenly there came a sounde from heauen, as of a russhing and mightie winde, and it filled all the house where they sate. ³ And there appeared vnto them clouen tongues, like fire, and it sate vpon eche of them. ⁴ And they were all filled with the holy Ghost, and began to speake with other tongues, as the Spirit gaue them vtterance.

¹⁶ But this is that, which was spoken by the Prophet Ioel, ¹⁷ And it shalbe in the last daies, saith God, I wil powre out of my Spirite vpon al flesh, and your sonnes, and your daughters shall prophecie, and your yong men shall see visions, and your old men shall dreame dreames. ¹⁸ And on my seruauntes, and on mine handmaides I will powre out of my Spirite in those daies, and they shall prophecie. ¹⁹ And I wil shew wonders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and the vapour of smoke. ²⁰ The Sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come. ²¹ And it shalbe, that whosoeuer shall call on the Name of the Lord, shalbe saued.

⁴⁵ So they of the circumcision which beleeued, were astonied, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was powred out the gift of the holy Ghost.

¹⁵ And as I began to speake, the holy Ghost fell on them, euen as vpon vs at the beginning. ¹⁶ Then I remembred the word of the Lord, howe he said, Iohn baptized with water, but ye shalbe baptized with the holy Ghost.

⁴ Then saide Paul, Iohn verely baptized with the baptisme of repentance, saying vnto the people, that they shoulde beleeue in him, which should come after him, that is, in Christ Iesus.

¹³ For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.

⁵ Not by the woorkes of righteousnesse, which we had done, but according to his mercie he saued vs, by the washing of the newe birth, and the renewing of the holy Ghost,
